Hello Elli1964 and a very warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can get advice, support, help and understanding along with a giggle or two to brighten the day.
Have you seen our mother site fmauk.org ? Here you will find a wealth of information including guides and links.
I think it would be extremely difficult to say your fibro was caused by chemo or if you had it dormant and the trauma of having cancer has triggered it. It is a bit chicken and egg.
Some members have both, myself included, and I am blaming the shock of a cancer diagnosis and all the worry that goes with it.
I am sorry I cannot be more specific, it would be an interesting question to ask both your oncologist and rheumatologist and compare the answers.
Hi Elli1964 welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and lots of ither related conditions and learning from their experiences.
I can't add anymore to what bluebell99 has said really, I just wanted to say Hi & look forward to chatting with you on the forum
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted for you below an excerpt from the *eHealth cache on this issue, so I truly hope that you find this useful:
