Hi spider555 this looks like your 1st post so to start with I'd like to welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.

I'm so sorry your in so much pain, you don't say if you have been diagnosed with fibro, it may be helpful to say a bit about yourself so ppl.are more able to give you suggestions to help you. Have you been to a Rhuematologist or a pain clinic at all. What pain medications do you take ?

Please do go look at the mother site where you will find all the information you need and lots of useful links on Fibro and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.

Hi thanks for the info.

I've been to a rheumatologist. My blood tests are normal except for an esr is slightly raised.

I don't take pain medication as I have problems with side effects.

I'm waiting for the pain clinic.

Thanks will have a mooch around x

Your welcome ☺ Pain clinics vary from area to area but they can do a lot to refer you to hydrotherapy or physio. they can be very good at helping you to manage your pain. Gentle excersizes are vital to do with fibro, palates or yoga but swimming is good. If you look at right of your screen you will see under Pinned post, a number of links that will help you navigate the forum. It's also a good idea to lock your post to the community, otherwise they are open to the internet. The link on how to do it, is there to show you how. ☺ x

Ahh I feel you, I have osteoarthritis in my knees and my left foot is painful to walk on since a RTA so I limp all the time which also causes backache making me tense up and causing pain in my shoulders....GP gave me anti-depressants and sent me away for 3 months, I am like a zombie even more ill and the pain isn't in my head it is crippling me and destroying my life!

There isn't a lot I can suggest apart from pain clinics, physio and maybe getting stronger pain relief.

Hope you feel better soon tc
