I was put in the support group in april 2016 , had a f2f assessment in may 2016 and they put me in wrag so i appealed.
Waited until feb 2017 for my appeal and got put back in the support group my money is being back paid till 23 rd may 2016.
Does anyone know how much im likely yo get paid as ive been told its being processed but not sure how much they back pay yoh and what they back pay you.

As I understand it, if you have been put in the Support Group after appealing and winning, you should be backpaid your Support Group sum back to the date of the original renewal, unless you have received money in between in which case they will pay the difference between what you have received and the SG allowance. I hope this makes sense!
Obviously only the people at Gov will be able to answer this one properly but I've had this happen once in the past and the first thing I mentioned is what happened for me.

Brilliant thank you , i have been getting my wrag money plus my severe disablement premium whilst waiting for the appeal to come round.
I thought it might be the monetary difference between the two rates so we will see what happens.
Just keep in mind that your ESA and your DLA are totally separate payments although ESA can impact your DLA/PIP and vice versa. IF this has happened you will have been told in writing.

if you’re entitled to ESA, you’ll be placed in one of 2 groups and will receive:
up to £102.15 a week if you’re in the work-related activity group
up to £109.30 a week if you’re in the support group
If you’re in the support group and on income-related ESA, you’re also entitled to the enhanced disability premium at £15.75 a week.
You may also qualify for the severe disability premium at £61.85 per week.
You will need to work out the difference

Hi rose yes i get the extra £61.85 sdp & i was put in wrag may 2016 which i appealed and had my tribunal in february 2017.
So they are backdating it to 23rd may 2016 for me but im not sure how much i will be getting back paid, im not sure how they work it all out .

Most people appeal not for the financial gain as there's not one but so they don't have to attend workshops .And stress out about being called in to look at what they may be able to do .

Yes it is more about being left alone really, just some people seem to be able to get thousands by lying through their teeth which makes you wonder.

It's worth so much more than that though. For one thing, you won't be sent for 'Work focused interviews', etc. Priceless, imo. x
Apparently its only for 6 months then i will have another assessment, even though in my post tribunal letter it says not to assess me again 6 months from the date of my appeal 14th feb, they had to send me out the room i was so distressed they called the woman from cab in twice and she told me i had won.
Sounds horrendous. Maybe you should have someone double check that? Alternatively, might be worth saying nothing for now and see if you do hear from them in 6months? When mine was eventually won, it was to be reviewed in 4years (I think)? I'm presuming any revue was 'in office' as I've continued to receive ok. Only hiccup now, is that my hardwon (Tribunal) 'indefinite DLA' is transferring to PIP. I'm bracing myself for trouble.

I believe its around £119 per week which is not much more than ESA at basic rate, but every little helps. Best wishes
I guess so if i had known it would be only a few quid i wouldnt of put myself through 7 months of worry and stress.
Yet someone i know lied through their teeth to get pip and got a £6000 back pay which is sickening
£6000 sounds like highest rate straight across the board, DLA..CARE..and MOBILITY over 6mth or more?
I lost all my disability last September, the assessor lied thru her teeth. I didn't get 1 lousy point thru all the report I lost medium care awhile back because I refused to have someone knocking me out of bed half hour after id struggled to sleep, ( I barely rest let alone sleep I'm a wreck) If I had bad days where I really needed help, id find out who was free at the time to help me. But I still had DLA and Mobility or I cant even get out the house, I live alone with little dog (shes my confidence and reason to get outa bed of a morning) Thing is everytime I asked for report to be reviewed AND POINTERS we had put down in writing where she had lied... BUT all they did was REREAD ALL THE LIES and totally ignored what my helper and I had written down. TWICE... now I'm still waiting an appeal date. But I'm climbing the walls, I daren't shop online for food anymore cuz I cant afford, I cant shop ahead for fresh food cuz its gone off in couple of days. Whatever I try to do to to make life work smacks me in the teeth 3 fold. Its really getting me down, 24 7 chronic pain and cold makes my pain worse. But now I daren't even flip up the stat till the chill gone and I'm safely wrapped in fleece throws to keep the cold out of muscles. There's so much more but fingers n wrists r screaming pain and swelling. I cant even hold sticks when this happens GOOD LUCK TO ALL
That awful, it wasnt the assessor that lied through their teeth it was the person claiming it an old schoolfriend although i think the way she has acted is disgusting.
She claims she cant go out or walk very far on her own, yet can get on a bus on her own and walk miles round town on her own.
Im no grass but considering the people i know who really are ill and get nothing.
She does deserve to lose the lot .
people like that is what is screwing it up for the rest of us that need the help. I'm STILL waiting on an appeal date from last September. It's all getting me down more so as the time goes on. Its taking that long I have now lost my social support worker. Shes had to move elsewhere because they don't support the group that I come under anymore or something and theres no one to take her place. So now I feel even more alone in all of this. Just found out my daughter and grandbaby 2yr old are emigrating to Australia, My sister did it 6 yrs ago. So now my heart is breaking, my head is bounding with all the stress, I daren't shop online anymore as I don't have the money to, so I get bread n milk from local shop and hit n miss with any other food I find cheap enough to buy. I've tried getting veg n fruit of which I need but its expensive when it lasts no longer than a couple of days and not the whole week. I'm afraid put heating up even though the cold makes my pain erupt to screaming point. I'm wondering why the hell I'm fighting for it now, I have nothing to left to fight for, Only more pain and struggles. I'm at my wits end.
As you have been excepted as in need of support maybe you should put in a claim for PIP even if you only get a basic rate, you never know x
I get pip standard rate of care but my dr thinks i should be enetitled to more but i dont want to take the risk and possibly lose what i have already got if that makes sense.
I know what you mean , maybe you could apply for just one element to be reassessed i.e mobility . It would be dependant on professional reports and if your GP thinks you qualify then surely you do. Good luck whatever you decide x

Worth bearing in mind if you hadn't appealed you would have lost the £61ish severe disability payment going forward, as I understand it, this is dependent on receiving both pip and support group status. So well done for sticking with it despite the awful process they put us through.
