not alone
I'm so sorry you are struggling. Low magnesium levels can cause muscle spasms.
I rub magnesium chloride oil diluted with distilled water on my muscles every night. I rarely have muscle spasm any more. They used to get really bad all over my body.
I also juice which helps a lot with energy and achiness and loosens my muscles and I even sleep better.
Stretching and range of motion movements helps with muscle pain.
I also love/hate my foam roller. It does great things for my muscles but when my muscles are really tight, it really hurts.
I hope something on my list of stuff that helps me, helps you
Take care××
Hi there, sorry you have had the need to seek us out but glad you have found us, welcome to the forum, the people here are kind and understanding and generous with their time and understanding. As far as you question goes i am in receipt of PIP having been on DLA and then receiving the dreaded brown telling me that DLA was being stopped in 28 days. I went through the phoning the delay for the huge form to arrive the very careful but fully truthful replies, which i made with the guidance of one of the benefit advisory forums and CAB guidance notes because it seems its not the reply you give but how you word it that matters. 99.9% of applicants including me then get a face to face assessment with ATOS or another medical advisory agency, i asked for a home visit partly because travelling for me is difficult especially if its raining and partly because i felt i could not be assessed on how i cope (or dont) outside of the purpose built flat which allows me some independance and at least to exist, despite mostly refusals i got a home visit and had a very pleasant but 100% business like assessor who came early and rang and asked if it was convenient to be there half hour before if not she would wait in her car, i had been got ready by one of my carers who had gone to do my shopping so i had to let her in but it was all "pleasant", having been initially refused DLA and declined at statutary reconsideration and at appeal and then winning at tribunal all of which took 18 months i was very wary and had written to my MP, my MP Lucy Allen ssid it was ridiculous to put me through this again and said she would intervene on my behalf, however i asked her not to but to observe the process that a disabled person has to go through because helping me would not help anyone else but if she fully knew the process it may be that she could help others in a wider spectrum. So when the assessor turned up my MPs personal secretary was there and i introduced her andctold the assessor why. She fully accepted that and said that whilst my carer could intervene the observer could not. The assessment lasted 50 minutes and condisted of only questions as she said there was no need for any physical examination. I had made copies of my last consultants letter and my prescription list but she informed me that whilst she could read them she could not remove and take with her even copies, but if you are assessed in a centre they can accept originals and make copies. The assessment ended and i was told i eshould receive a reply in 2 -4 weks. In 24 days i received a letter stating i received enhanced mobility 14 points of required 12 andcenhanced care with 41 points of required 12.
That is an honest and complete run down of the start to finish of my PIP process, i hope that helps. Good luck with your application.
Leon Blessings
Hello millymartha and a warm welcom to our friendly fibro site where you will get advice, support, help and information along with a chuckle or two to lighten the day.
Have you seen our Mother Site fmauk.org ?
You can get a link through the site to Janet our Benefits advisor who may be able to help you.
There is also the Citizens Advice who are very good but it may take a while to get an appointment as they are rather overwhelmed at the moment.
You could also type PIP in the search box here and learn of others experiences.
