Welcome Rukia I can't remember you posting before.
I have something that sounds similar and mine is called Calcification. If they are just in the wrong place it can be painful and make gripping thinks a bit difficult. Mine come and go and pop up in different places. The first one I had was on my palm and then at the moment I have two at the base of my thumb. I also have Herbedens nodes on my fingers. These are often found in people with osteo arthritis according to my doctor.
I have found since I have been on anti inflammatory drugs that pain from them is much less. If it gets bad I find soaking my hands in warm water with Epsom salts in it helps and a pain gel.
I wonder whether this is the cause?x
Hello listeningtime , I have noticed this is your first post so I welcome you to our friendly fibro forum.
You haven't said if you have been diagnosed with fibro or are going through tests for a diagnosis. If you are still having tests then these lumps will have been noted and various blood tests will have been done.
I am not a qualified medical practitioner but I suggest that this is not related to fibro. The fact you have seen so many doctors and not been given a reason or cause means it is something very unusual. I am sorry I cannot help you further without more information.
Have you Googled "painful lumps in hands" ?, not only for descriptions but also pictures?.
I hope you find an answer soon.
Kay
Hi listeningtime
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I have one on my shoulder, and just like rosewine mine is also caused by Calcification (caused by Osteoporosis medication). I would ask your GP about having it removed if it is an issue for you as they can cut them out for you. I can truly imagine it limits what you can do with your hand? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi Rukia. My Mum had a condition called "Dupytrens" Contractures if my spelling is correct? and she had lumps in the palms of her hands and her hands slightly curled inwards. I also know a chap who played piano who had the same, so dont know if it is anything to do with overuse of the hands. He told me it was very prominent in Norway Im sure. I think it is caused when the tendons in the hands tighten but I think if it was this your GP would know. It could be other things of course so good luck and I hope you find out soon.
I do have fibro but I brought magnetic bracelet from studio I don't have any pain amazingly I suggest everyone tryz one it helps u can find it in pharmacy
I tried this for fibro but it didnt help me. Glad you are getting relief from it though.
