Sounds like you have become a little run down to me I would get an appointment to maybe check this out, usually get this if I do too much still learning the pacing thing there is an art to it apparently. Wishing you well. x Lou

Hi bwaite

I am so sorry to read that you are feeling under the weather, and as lou60 says, it does sound like you are run down? Mind you, you really are doing well work wise? And I genuinely hope that you feel very pleased with yourself?

I sincerely hope that you start to feel better soon and good luck with work!

All my hopes and dreams for you

Try homeopathic Rhus Tox for cold sores.

So pleased to hear that you are coping with work... it gives us a sense of "self worth" and social contact.

But go careful, because I always find my cold sores always flare up when I am under stress... try and take things a little easier.... remember to pace yourself. Xx

I used to get that a lot, especially up my nose, so painful! the best advice I got from the health shop was to take a course of Lysine tablets which are anti viral and a cream to apply called Propolis. worked like magic and took away the pain the minute I put the gel on. Best of luck x

Wonderful news that you afre still working and managing quite well. Sorry about the cold sores my job share partners used to both have them but it was always when they were either stressed or had overdone things so rest up as much as your job will allow.x

Working still!

Sorry your suffering the awful cold sores, I never used to get cold sores, though had about 3 in last 4 or 5 years, I always get aclivor cream, from my doctor, I carry it with me all the time, first sign of a tingle, I apply it on my lips, for inside nose, I use vaseline, small handbag size, which softens it to help clear when blowing my nose, after blowing my nose I re apply vaseline.works for me, hope ithelps Take Care x

i get cold sores all the time and as silly as it sounds you don't have to be run down the sun can trigger them I usually get them as soon as i go away didn't know why but googled it to see why. When they clear up get a good lip balm with uv protection and see if that helps Alsoi was advised try to have 2 satsumas or tangerines a day its supposed to be really effective at preventing colds. Hope This will help as I know how painful they are

Hi,

Yes, got one up my nose now. Take lysine. One tablet a day to prevent (which I haven't been taking!) and then I take three a day when I have a tingle or outbreak.

When I would start out at a rheumatologist, I remember dryness and sores to nose and mouth being questions that they would ask. I am thinking this could be symptomatic of an autoimmune disease. Do you see a rheumatologist and if so, is he and aware of this recurrence? You should definitely mention it.

I've always gotten coldsores part of

the herpes family. I don't see a

R/A but I have. I do believe it's an

autoimmune symptom I've also

have had herpes virus in my eye.

I take lysine it seems to help a bit.

There's also something called voltrex

but it bothers my stomach. Hope

this helped X.
