I wish you all the very best but my benefit was sorted out long before this mess (thank goodness!!) I know from others that this is a very difficult and stressful time and that you must make sure you speak/write about your worst days.....x

Can you get a write up of your op and post op treatments from you consultants-that is a good back-up for you? can you also get back-up from your g.p in writing, is he giving you sick notes as unfit to work? If you,re having any physio or pain clinic appr,s then ask them to put a letter together for you too.. some might charge you for letters but it will be worth it and try to find yourself a welfare rights officer in your town or close by and they will help you too.

thank you i have got my consultants secetary to send me all my pre op notes post op ect i have a letter from my theropist im in the process of trying to get a letter from my gp are these any good as i dont have any other support oh and im in pain clinic as from tomorrow

I had all this info as my backing for PIP ESA and early retirement, I also made myself a word document of how my condition affects me on the worst day- no stone left unturned in it! If you are having pain clinic appt.s then a sick note is in order for "post op pain" I cannot imagine any potential employer would consider giving you a job with all the time off you would need and the limit on your capabilities at present, I feel you are justified to be off sick and claiming benefits.

Good luck with it all. Others have given excellent advice as the more evidence you can give to support your claim the better. That you are starting at a Pain Clinic to me also supports your case. Do take BlueMermaid3 advice about getting professional help as it can make all the best difference. Let us know how you get on.x
