Hi I'm new here..I'm 51yrs old and I've been battling health issues for the past 20yrs..after many Gp visits, and tests I have finally been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which my daughter has too..I look forward to chatting with people and hope to get some insight in dealing with this condition that has taken over my life. Thankyou.

Hi Doyah1

Welcome to the forum. I too have been recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Yes I have the jumping muscle and body tics all the time especially while I'm relaxing or trying to sleep. These are accompanied by pain, cramps, tingling and pins and needles. I find that Amitriptyline does help with this at bed time but it makes me very groggy for days after. My right arm was twitching so much the other night I thought my elbow was going to fly off....lol!

All the best

Jo x

Thankyou for replying. That's exactly what I have, my right toe is sensitive and I also have cramps and pins and needles. Sometimes it feels as if someone is holding a flame to my toes and walking is agony as my feet are so painful. I find the symptoms hard to explain, but it feels like my body has something living in it and it just attacks everywhere. I feel like I have poisonous blood..sorry for my words of explanation, but I don't know how else to put it. Very best wishes to you. X

Yes I do also have painfull muscle spasms and feels like something is crawling over my skin I have only recently been diagnosed after nearly 3 years of every test under the sun. Still find it hard to believe that fybromyalgia could cause me so much illness still a bit in shock and worry its something else but when I read things on the site It all starts being put in to place and how bad you can be with it.

Hi kjb121

I have been scared for many years so to finally have a diagnosis has relaxed me a little..im so glad to have found this forum with such lovely people coming forward to help. It's an unpleasant thought knowing this is going to be our life and is unlikely to ever go. I have been reading through posts and like you have found very similar symptoms which has def helped me to trust the diagnosis and yes it's a bit like a jigsaw and u start to see the bits fit together..lots of love x
