Hello Peter0793
Welcome to the forum I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your father.
Stress of any type will definitely make your symptoms much worse. Bereavement will make your Fibro flare massively.
Unfortunately when in a flare about the only thing to do is to try to pace yourself as best you can and not to over do things.
I very much hope that you enjoy the forum. You will find everyone kind caring but most of all extremely supportive.
Be kind to yourself.
Wishing you less pain and more peace

Hi Peter0793
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Sending all the love and sympathy your way .
As I have no diagnosis but many symptoms that fit fibromylagia I won't claim to know how you're feeling.I have however learned that emotional stresses and pain can cause flare ups .
I do however have arthritis and I know that can be a whole lot of agony when it wants to play.
But I will say that you've done amazingly to go two years in pain without having a clue what it is .
Definitely keep talking through this site and keep us updated on what's going on and what we can do to help.
Once again you're doing well fighting your symptoms keep it up
Ann-Marie x
Hi peter and welcome, so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad, stress definitely makes fibro symptoms worse, although sometimes it's unavoidable, I was diagnosed 3 years ago and still learning about it, try to take it easy and rest when possible xx
Hellopecks there, I seem to remember I had the same experience when I lost my dad in 2001.it was after this trauma I was told I had fibro..makes you wonder if this kind of event sets it off!
Hi Peter0793
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. Please can I offer you my deepest condolences on your sad loss, I am deeply sorry. many Fibro sufferers go into a flare after such a trauma.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best my friend, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Thank you all for your kind words, I seem to have flare ups alot lately, I don't sleep very well and the pains in my legs, arms and hands is sometimes unbearable, I am on strong Meds and feel exhausted all the time. Due to fibro, arthritis, vertigo and depression I can't work and it really gets you down when you realise this is what your life has come to.
My sincere condolonces Peter0793 you will probably find the more clamer you can become the better you will feel, though not easy to do I know stress always brings on a flare up in me am going through one at the moment back fingers and feet hurt but I know if I just face each day as calmly as I can and be kind to myself it will pass wishing you well x
