Hi Bradders 1969,

Yes, I suffer with dizziness & vertigo and have done for several years. My Fibro diagnosis was last March, just before lockdown, although like most people, I had suffered for years. My doctor prescribed betahistamine for the dizziness about 7 years ago. I only take them when it’s really bad, I try to manage without when the symptoms are mild/moderate. A bad attack can leave me in bed for a few days. The last bad one was caused by looking up to the sky at the stars can you believe? Just turning around too fast can trigger it and once I was in bed for days after a trip to the cinema, just because the cinema chairs ‘floated’ to allow you to get comfortable. Haven’t been to that cinema since 😂😂😂 it’s just another horrible symptom to live with unfortunately. I hope your dizziness eases soon. If not, I would recommend you speak to your doctor for some help with it.

I also suffer from dizzy spells but have not been to Dr as when they see Fibro diagnosis you can see them switch off. Has your Dr or consultant ever advised what causes the dizziness with fibro? Thanks and stay safe x

Hi,

My dizziness was diagnosed as vertigo, before fibromyalgia was diagnosed. I have heard that once Fibromyalgia is diagnosed, it’s hard to get new symptoms considered as being anything else though 😕

Hi there. I have only had this pain for just going on 18 months. I pushed and pushed to see a rheumatologist and got my diagnosis last week. I get regular dizzy spells to the point where I lose my balance. I have mentioned it to my GP and of course it was dismissed.

It's horrible when it happens as I fear one day I will be home alone and will fall. It scares me.

Hope you will have a good day very soon. Xx

Are you on any medication that could cause dizziness? When I first start on pregabalin, dizziness and blurry vision were very obvious side effects. It took a lower dose for them to become manageable. It is important to find out what causes the symptoms for you. Hope you feel better soon.
