Has anyone else had fentanyl patches for their pain? If so how did you get off them and how much did they help? I am trying to get off them at the moment using Buprenorphine patches as the withdrawal trying to come off has bee really bad. My body became so addicted to it and started craving more and more. terrible stuff.

Has your doctor suggested decreasing your dose of Fentanyl slowly? Don't cut the patches, certainly not without okaying this with a pharmacist, as cutting some patches can mean they dump the dose straight into you rather than spreading it out. But you should be able to get lower dose patches.

Fentanyl isn't recommended for Fibro and this is one of the many reasons why.

Is your doctor supporting you enough through this? If not, a pain clinic may have more experience with this issue.

managed to slowly get down to the lowest dose first it was just the last bit as the lowest patch is a 12!
