I really struggled as to post this or not as I ma aware that some of you were refused and some did not get what they were entitled to I am posting this as some of you were interested and asked me to inform you when I got a conclusion to my application. I must stress that this is not a boast or brag about my award and please do not see it as such as I promise it is not.
After 7 weeks of stress full waiting the envelope finally arrived yesterday lunchtime and I was very surprised at my award. I have been awarded enhanced rate for daily living and enhanced rate for mobility for a period of 5 years. The additional money of £120 per month more than my DLA award will go a very along way to enable me to get some paid help after my heart operation that is due very soon rather than put the burden on friends to help me out after my discharge.
Have a great weekend Ian :>))))))))

Would not dream of you bragging or boasting you got pip because you needed it I'm sorry but I don't think you should have to apologise to anyone every case is different I got pip myself in June your just letting people who asked to let them no so glad you got it and extra money will definitely help you out ☺ xx
I agree to with you all I haven't even applied and Iv got agressive Fibromygia Restless legs Horrible Tinattas and Asma All been diegnosed in writing May I should apply blue Mermiad
It's great to hear a positive outcome. I've been refused PIP - just off the point amount so was nearly there. Got to go to a tribunal now after mandatory reconsideration refused it. Both the letters were terribly written - no paragraphs and punctuation terrible as well as just blindly ignoring important factors and symptoms. The terminology is ridiculous - things like cognitive testing and so on. Tests which an average assessor would not be able to do.
I feel terribly sad that my illness(es) have been just rudely disregarded (in a cold and dismissive letter - 2 of them) and there has been shown no understanding of my situation at all. Not a happy bunny but very happy for anyone who has been rightly awarded PIP as it gives hope. Thank you for sharing.
That's brilliant news, so many people have to fight to get what they deserve so it's brilliant you got what you rightfully deserve, hope it helps with getting the right care😀
That's really good news and gives us all who are waiting and still fighting hope. Its good to hear that something you need has been given to you. now you can stop worrying about it and concentrate on you. Enjoy it and don't feel guilty. gentle hugs Joolz.x
That is the most marvellous news and has made my day it is wonderful to hear that someone in need has actually triumphed over the system. It is good that it is for 5 years so at least you will now be able to relax and prepare yourself for your heart operation and recovery. I know money doesn't buy health but it goes a long way to making people feel more secure and as you say pay for valuable help.x
Thats fantastic. I am more than a bit bemused by my latest PIP.
Id better go back a bit. My first PIP i was awarded enhanced mobility no care so i went to tribunal. I still didnt get any care and they lowered my mobility.
I was advised to try again and guess what ! .. They awarded me lower rate care and NO mobility. Its a miracle i can sell my wheel chair, im cured. so why do i need someone to help me walk across the road to get to the car. Once i run out of fence im b****rd.
My adviser has applied for mandatory reconcderation and says if that doesnt work its back to tribunals.
It is great though to see someone come out with what they deserve.
Thanks mayrose I pray for a positive outcome on your reconsideration. xx

That's is horrendous have you considered sending all the history evidence of your illnesses with more letters from you health team when I was stuck in limbo i sent all my paperwork in and said the are obligated to read it all incase something had been missed as you seem to have had a mixed view in your results

I have a great welfare rights adviser and this time im leaving it all up to her.
I made a right mess of it when i tried going it alone.
That is absolutely wonderful news and I am sincerely delighted for you! Please do not apologise for giving us all such good news! I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck my friend.
Well done, it is not a brag, so pleased for you we all stick together here, and it helps others if you can give advice, so great news, another one for us, take care and enjoy best wishes x
I know what you mean about being wary about posting though. Like you I was lucky enough to get enhanced on both elements at the first attempt with no appeals necessary.
But I've not been brave enough to post about it as you hear so many stories on here and elsewhere about the appalling treatment some people get that it seems like rubbing salt into open wounds doesn't it. I have talked about it in response to other peoples posts but not created one myself.
Though I hope it can help people to know that the good assessors are out there, it is possible for it to go well despite it still being an extremely stressful experience even without the need to appeal.
Hello that is why I stressed in my posting that it was not a brag or boast as I know a lot of people did not get what they were entitled to or nothing at all and feel as they should very aggrieved but a few people asked me to tell them about the outcome so that is what I did ! Kind regards Ian :>))))) xxx
