I would have a blood test first to find out what your levels if vit D are. I believe most people with fibro feel worse in colder weather. It can be moist weather rather than cold, personally, although I don't like cold weather I'm not too bad as long as I am warm enough. Humidity on the other hand really affects me even in warm countries.
There is no use in taking something that you don't need and excess levels of anything may be harmful.
I agree with Telynores as we should not ever take what we don't need.Good luck. Peck.🐤
Hi nessybuns
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
I would agree with your other respondents in that it would be prudent to have your Vitamin D levels tested. Although it would appear that many people in the UK are deficient it is also true that excessive amounts of Vitamin D can become toxic. Therefore blood tests are always a wise precaution. I have pasted you an excerpt from the *mayoclinic on this issue below:
*The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause poor appetite, nausea and vomiting. Weakness, frequent urination and kidney problems also may occur. Treatment includes the stopping of excessive vitamin D intake.
I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
