Hi there

Welcome to the forum ☺

As you have seen everyone is extremely kind and supportive because we all are suffering the same way.

The mental blocks are known as Fibro fog. We have had some very funny moments recalled during these times.

I tried to put my iron in the fridge! The most worrying thing was that I only realised what I was doing when it wouldn't fit πŸ˜…

If you take a look on our mother site you will find lots of interesting information on there fmauk.org

Just in the interests of internet safety you might like to have a look at locking your post. There are step by step instructions on how to do this on the right of your screen under Pinned Posts in blue.

If you need any help let me know and I'll be more than happy to help you.

I look forward to chatting to you again.

Wishing you less pain and more peace

my favorite trick is forgetting to put the teabag in my cup and getting a mug full of hot milky water. A couple of days ago I put two books down somewhere, it took me a couple of days to find them, Id put them on top of the clock ready to take them into the bedroom, I really thought I was going nuts that time! A couple of weeks ago when we went on holiday i decided to take 3 necklaces with me. I can remember picking them up but i have no idea what i did with them.

I have turned all the bags that i took with me upside down several times.

No one could have stolen them and i could not have lost them as i didnt wear them.

Infact i cant remember even seeing them while we were away.

They are all very precious to me so it is one of those times when the fog is not so funny.

And to all those who know me. They are NOT in the fridge, I checked. :P

Hopefully they will turn up soon. :)

I dont suppose you've put away clothes from your holdiday that you havnt worn since? if you have, shake them out, my brother & sister in law did that, thought theyd lost some gold they had brought as gifts, it wasnt until months later she was going through the folded holiday gear that they dropped out of the folds, Then she remembered hiding them!!, if your anything like me you cant stop looking for the necklaces because you just KNOW they should be there, its maddening isnt it. I have also looked straight past something I've been looking for without seeing it!, try that one...blame it all on fibro, either that or we are nuts! Lyzzie x

i did wonder if i had put them in the pocket of my jumper but then i remembered that i didnt wear the jumper until late.

There was no way that they could have fallen in with the clothes because the clothes were already vac packed. So now im stuck.

lyzzie profile image
lyzzieβ€’ in reply to

Sure you actually did put them in the case in the first place? Do you remember wearing them on holiday? other than that dont know what to suggest, its very upsetting though to lose a piece of jewellry like this, I've lost a white gold ring, it was a bit loose and has obviously fallen off my finger, the bedroom has been hovered lots of times since so I think its gone, lesson learned, dont wear loose rings in bed.

β€’ in reply tolyzzie

I cant remember putting them in one of two bags that i was packing but cant remember seeing them while we were away.

I took them in case we went out some where but one of the tyres on my wheelchair fell apart so i was grounded. :P

Hope they turn up, probabley when you've stopped looking for them it horrible if they are something special though. Are they one of those thing that have great sentimental value, they are the hardest to lose. Lyzzie x

One from my daughter, one from my son and the locket that my husband bought me as a 25th anniversary present. :(

oh dear, I really hope ou find them mayrose I know one of my friends was actually burgled and while the stuff that was taken wasnt hugely valuable they took her recently deceased mothers bits and pieces. Keep looking. Where did you stay on holiday? they couldve been handed in, there are still honest people out there, worth a try. Lyzzie x

In our tent. LOL it was a family camping trip for my grand daughters 10th birthday.

I have thought that maybe they are wrapped up in with the tent. But i dont see how they could be. Once it was empty and everything was out it had a good sweeping out with the broom.

lyzzie profile image
lyzzieβ€’ in reply to

Ahh, braver than I, I am allergic just to the idea of camping, once I'm down too low or on the floor I cant get up again, bit of a mood spoiler, plus I would want to take my bed, armchair, all the creature comforts, especially the Loo, like I said, your braver than I!! Lyzzie x

I am forever forgetting to put the sweeteners in my tea. A couple of years ago, I was on the computer and listening to the TV, when the phone rang. I tried to turn down the TV with the phone, and answer the mouse!

Hi my friend

I'm so sorry to hear you've lost your jewellery. Where did you pack your bag?

If you packed your bag on your bed have you looked under your bed in case they slipped to the floor and somehow got kicked under the bed?

Maybe it's worth a look.

Lu xx
