Has anyone tried it for pain relief?

Sorry no not for fibro.
I did have it once for back pain,Mitch didn't help me I'm afraid. Everyone's different though, so who knows it might help you.
Good luck and best wishes 🌸
I had it last September but it made me worse! I would feel very ill too for a few days afterwards. However, I have a lot of different issues including a spinal problem. Many people do seem to get a benefit from it and I hope you are one of them.
I've never tried it but gave seen post of others that have... you should get a response on this.Good luck.Peck🐤
It worked for me on my back but aggravated my bowel disease so we had to tinker with the points a bit after that. I had to stop going temporarily until recover from surgery but will go back as is a good complement to minimise pain for freer movement alongside my current limited pain meds.
I have had it for Fibro, alas it made me feel worse. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck if you decide to give it a try!
Not for fibro. I use it so my chiropractor can work deeply into my burstritis and to give temporary relief for my back pain. It is short lived but allows me to do some exercise for a few days.

I had it for the pain that comes with fibto and it was wonderful. I would highly recommend it but it is expensive and as you can see from earlier replies it doesn't work for everyone. The acupuncturist should have a long chat with you on your first visit and should make detailed notes about your health. He/ she will then explain what s/he thinks is the best form of acupuncture is best for you - it may just be needles in your ears which does not hurt, needles on various parts of your body and s/he may heart the needles up once they have been placed in your skin. I really hope that it works for you. I have to admit that if it wasn't for the price I would be having acupuncture regularly. Good luck. Shell
Unfortunately for me, it didn't help.... I felt dreadful afterwards and it did not improve my symptoms. I tried 2sessions, but gave up then. But remember we all react differently... so if you decide to try it then let us know how you get on with it. Xxx
My chiropractor used it to release a tight and painful shoulder muscle. I've never tried it for Fibro though. Massage helps me, when I can afford it. It needs to be a gentle massage though, the deep tissue kind can hurt a lot.
YES I had it for 6 months once every 2 weeks on hands ,knees coccyx, elbows-mainly where I have OA, it doesn,t work until about session 3, it doesn,r hurt either, yes I would try anything offered to relieve pain

I currently have acupuncture. I really love it. Yes pain diminishes but if you give the acupuncturist full health details he/she may deal with the cause as well.
I've had it for both back and knee pain and both times found it to be very useful. But when talking to others I've found they have had varying responses. The only way to find out if it will work for you is to give it a try, but make sure it is from someone trained to do it (my physio did mine).
Hello wjf1, I used to have acupuncture and chiropractic treatment every 2 weeks for years (before Fibro) as I have scoliosis kyphosis. Once our fun filled friend Fibro took control things changed. When I was still able to work I was able to afford to keep up with the chiropractor and acupuncture, it helped with the pain for me. Sadly I can't afford it being unable to work. It can take a few sessions and the relationship between you and the chiropractor is key, make sure they know all your medical issues and they understand our fun filled friend Fibro.
Hope today finds you a little better than yesterday.
Blessings Be
Drew
Hi,yes I did try it for fribomylgia.
The first time was great but the second time I was bad after it.
The second time it didn't work at all but made the pain worse and the cost was a bit expensive.
I'd leave it well alone If I were you but that's only my opinion take care of yourself and good luck.

After a physio came to the conclusion that 'hands on' treatments were not suitable for me he suggested acupuncture. I was open minded and was happy to give it a go. However, he had great difficulty inserting the needles as my muscles had tightened so much. After three weeks he decided to abandon the treatment as it was difficult to execute and I had not felt any benefit. I was hoping it would work as I had heard from others that it worked well for them. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I hope you find some relief soon
