Here I go!!!

Hi Peck
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling with so many things at the moment, and I sincerely hope that you feel better soon. I was watching a wonderful documentary earlier and they said that wherever there is a painful condition then depression is always a possibility as pain drags you down. I was quite shocked as here was a doctor who appeared to be caring and understanding about such things!
I understand exactly what you mean about the cold as it aggravates my pain something rotten! I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck. Please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
PS please feel free to rant all you want it is what we are here for!
Thanks Ken I appreciate your kindness.I feel your genuine concern.Have a good night! π»

Hi Peck
I don't know what it is about this darned illness but it certainly doesn't come alone does it?!
I've just had the most awful couple of weeks, with one thing literally on top of another.
Like many other members, winter is my worst possible time of year. The cold magnifies my pain and the lack of sunshine makes my mood dip.
Take care of yourself and I hope life gets back on an even keel for you soon.
Wishing you calmness and peace
Lu xx
Hi, in some ways I envy you, as you seem to have a loving family that cares, support's you, believes & understands what things are like for you, I don't have that, but I got the pain, the worry, anxiousness & loneliness that comes with this, I worry that one day soon I won't be able to look after myself & my independents goes, " what do I do then"?, anybody out there with any ideas, please get back to me. Thanks.
Poor you xxx This is a lonely illness even if you have family around you who care about you so I am deeply sorry for you.
I have been in a flare since Christmas and found it terribly isolating even though there are others in the house. I suppose that there are different ways of looking at this but having thought about it now I would rather have someone with me.
My problem is that although I have a husband and a grown working daughter at home I still feel quilty about having to lay on my bed and that I should provide a meal for them at the end of the day. I have always been a thoughtful person but if I've not managed to do this they never ask me if I want anything to eat. My husband may think about it at 10pm !!! So I suppose if you live on your own you only have yourself to worry about and (1) not feel quilty about others (2) feel let down by others.
I think you my friend are worried about the time when you are no longer able to get up and fend for yourself without help which must be a big worry. I suppose what will happen without family vastly depends on your finances as everything does in my country (UK) I'm sorry I don't know where you are from.
I am lucky enough to have worked very very hard earlier in my life with my husband to now be in a comfortable position where I have a cleaner and most things are made easier for me.
In your situation here the social services would get involved and help you if your finances were not adequate. If adequate you would have to pay for help.
Don't get me wrong I have been in the situation where I had no money when my children were young so I know what both situations feel like.
These are just my observations as I do not know your full story.
All I know is that we both suffer the same debilitating syndrome and understand where we are coming from.
Sending support to you my friend
Sally

Yes,cold weather adds to our intensity and frequency in pain. Makes everything that much more difficult...including life on life's terms. I feel for you. Take extra care with yourself during times like this... Sending love, care and comfort to you from me!

Hi Peck, yes you are blessed, but I can understand that you have your off days, are you a diagnosed Fibromyalgia person?, as I'm interested in, what happened, how did you get it, what are the most prominent symptoms?, I hope you don't mind talking about this. Thanks.
Best wishes Chris.
Yes I was diagnosed in 1999. I have hep C and the way it was explained to me that it's a spin off of that .My dr. at the time thought it was lupus.I had constant pain, always tired basically never feeling well. (35 yrs old) It happened pretty sudden before this I was such a different person and my dr. knew this to make a longer story short dia.fibro and CFS.π
Hi Peck
The weather or changes in the weather affect myself and hubby too. He has osteoarthritis

Good morning Twinks, Sorry to hear it's your hubby too.I know the weather is cold high in the 20's, with snow tomorrow. I shattered my ankle 7 yrs ago and when it's cold (well you know) also have bursitis. As we say when it rains (or snows) it pours.Take care, Peckββββ
