kyphosis Scoliosis

Does any one on here have Kyphosis Scoliosis if so how do you manage pain

I also have Fibromyalgia

I have kyphosis but not scoliosis. This follows fractures to thoracic vertebrae 5-8. Subsequently I developed post traumatic Syringomyelia. I'm in constant deep achy pain but have largely learned to live with this. I take Co-Codamol when needed.

My mum had this as a result of her RA. I remember she was very limited in her movements and had difficulty eating as her chin was on her chest.

I know she had real trouble with pain control and many days my dad would make up a "bed" in the armchair as she was more comfortable there than trying to lie flat.

The biggest problem apart from the pain was the recurrent chest infections as she had restricted breathing.

Please look after yourself, try to limit contact with people with colds and coughs and get the pneumonia jab!

I am so genuinely sorry that you also have Kyphosis Scoliosis to accompany your Fibro, and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with this. It is not something that I suffer with. Please take care of yourself my friend.
