I'd ask your GP about that. Or at least get in touch with NHS24. It could indicate something that needs looked into. I'm not a doctor, so please don't take my word as gospel 🐸
Several places, articles I have read, say that can be quite typical of Fibro. What to do about it? I don't quite know. Maybe get one of those automatic air fresheners that automaticlly releases a sent every so many minutes...like8,15,32 minutes etc? May work to compensate for odd odor. Good luck.

I get that too. Or I get were the smells are heightened and make me nauseous! But it wouldnt hurt to talk with your doc about it too esp if this is a new symptom.
Thank you Sorebones. I did ask my doctor about it but she looked at me like a mule looks at a new gate. I have read on this forum that others have the same problem maybe different smells though. I woke up this morning and it is ok so I can only pray it will go permanently.
I get this occasionally all kinds of weird smells and my sense of smell is not usually very good. I smell burning, petrol, spice, earth etc and the smell is sometimes followed by a migraine. I too asked my gp but he just looked blank like I had said something in gobbledegook.
Thank you Flossy59,
Some people sure give you strange looks when you mention it to them, you almost feel like your the only one with the problem..
I feel a lot better knowing I'm not the only one.Sorry to hear you have this weid problem, but I'm sure it will leave us soon, that is my prayer.
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and it could be caused by an infection or even dental problems. Phantom smells are called 'Phantosmia' and I have pasted you a link to the NHS Choices cache below:

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this issue.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Thanks Ken. "Phantosmia" sounds like a super hero. Interesting link which confirms the phantom smells I get are probably linked to migraine. Gentle hugs Joolz.x
I thought more along the lines of ''Phantosmia of the opera!'' I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this. x
