I seem to regularly have low folate and I've been prescribed iron tables to treat this. I think that it may be related.
Hi I have been prescribed folic acid for 4 years now 😊 Also get your vit D checked . Keep an eye on your hair line 😊
Hi reeneroo
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you have bee suffering with low folate levels, and I sincerely hope that you can resolve this with some iron tablets. As far as I am aware it is not connected to Fibro as it is a vitamin deficiency.
I have pasted you a link to the NHS Choices cache on this issue:

Hi there
I was found to be low in folate and was prescribed Folic Acid for it.
I'm not sure if it is Fibro related, so will be following your post with interest 😊
Wishing you peace and wellness

I've been diagnosed with anaemia, and put on a course of folic acid. My GP has said this may be caused with bleeding in my stomach due to the Naproxim I've been takin. I have to stop the Naproxim, take a higher dose of the stuff we are given to protect our stomachs, ( sorry can't remember the name, but it begins with L) have more blood tests and an endoscopy.
Have been without my Naproxen for only 3 days, I am now in pain that I'd been lucky enough to forget about, plus pain I still had! Taking Tramadol and Amytriptlyn but can't believe all this pain I now feel is caused by just stopping one tablet.
Oh well, perhaps I will try cognac as my painkiller - that's if I can manage to get out and buy some 😃😃😃 - only joking!
Low folate can be related to thyroid problems.
