So here we go again

I went to bed about 1am am i going to sleep i don't know yet.... Well as per up at 1:30am after this way and that... Went back about 5:30am the same thing happened again so i have to get up, my gp is a waste of time no help at all. I can't take sleeping pills because of my epilepsy.. Life is so hard at the moment but i have to carry on how long for i don't know..... Anyway to everyone on this site may you have a very happy new year.

Sorry to hear this. I know how you feel. I have been awake for a lot of the night in agony. It's horrendous. I really hope you feel better soon x

Hi Tuscany, thank you for your reply, I'm sorry to hear that you are awake at night it's terrible when we can't sleep and in total agony... I do hope you are able to feel better soon but it's not easy take care Bob x

Can totally commiserate up most of the night made two pots of tea, did exercises, listened to music, read my book tried settling down between these things to no avail. Of course when it is time to get up I needed a JCB to get me out of bed. Oh for the gift of sleep.x

Have you tried learning how to meditate ? Its not an instant fix nor an easy one but it does wonders for accustomed a mind to relax and be prepared for sleep. There are guided meditations apps specifically for sleep. Worth trying but remember it might take a day or two to be effective.
