After I had several nose bleeds over the last few days, I went to see the GP. Who checked my blood pressure (normal) and my nose, telling me all looked OK.
I was then advised to use a&e if I have more that last 15-20 minutes.

Thanks for the update Sean. I have pasted you a link to this issue from NHS Choices, and there is a piece further down the page on persistent nose bleeds and nose bleeds that last more than 20 minutes. It is an interesting read on blood vessels.

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with getting to the bottom of this problem.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi I wonder if you could be anaemic, it makes you more likely to get bleeds, or another possibility could be a ruptured blood vessel, the doctor couldn't have seen all the way into your sinuses and it only takes one vessel to be weak..
Ask for a blood test, and it wouldn't harm you to ensure that you eat the right stuff assuming you don't already, nuts, pulses, greens and red meat as our bodies aren't that great at retaining what we need to survive..
Hope it gets easier, it's not nice, I recall one bleed I had at age 18 it was pouring and wouldn't stop for hours all I did was sneeze!
My gut thinks this is anemia though!
Sean 2375, hi, glad to see you have been to the gp, who has done some of the basic checks,,,,,hope you now feel a little calmer,,,ttfn from Karen.
