Body Pillows

Hi everyone,

I am struggling at night with pain in my knees and ankles. I am a side sleeper and I am looking to buy some kind of body pillow to help. I also have a pillow right now that goes under one arm so that my neck and shoulders don't spasm... I have added one to my knees but really need all in one.

Does anyone have one? If so, what type and where was it from? I am leaning towards a U or E shaped one but would like some help if possible before I make a decision.

Thanks in advance

U shaped pregnancy pillow is what you're after. It gives you full support in bed, but please bear your sleeping partner in mind as they take up a lot of room. You can order then online, mine came from Amazon 🐸

Hi Starrie,

I think both the replies you've had already have given you exactly the advice I would give. There are plenty on line which are not hugely expensive. One other thought I had, and that you mention is a wedge type thing to put between your knees - a friend of mine used one of those and got a lot of relief from using it.

I really hope you manage to get what you are looking for and do please come back and let us know how you get on with whatever you choose to go for 😊😊

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in this way and I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck. I do not have any of these kinds of pillows as I have an electric adjustable bed, I would recommend them to anyone if you have the money to buy one.

All my hopes and dreams for you

You can buy a pillow online in complete care range, it has a band you fasten around one leg and stops the little knee pillow from moving away from you, it is specifically for knees.

Can I just say guys look in all the invalid care sections as its amazing what there is out there, just us not admitting it is a debilitating disorder( and pride) that stops us from looking!!

Pride comes before a fall, pardon the pun!

My mum gets lots of those little catalogues sent to her with all new magic inventions for solving mobility problems, worth a look as they do have some great things.

Another site to visit is Lloyds chemist as they carry all sorts of things too

Well happy shopping for all our padding! Hope you all have a good weekend

Thank you for your information that is really interesting. Will have a look for things I probably didn't even know existed. X

Thanks :), you are right it's hard to accept sometimes that i have this "debilitating disorder" especially since I was a career in "another life " as I call it! I will definitely swallow my pride and go to all the care websites I know.

Thanks guccigirl x

I need something to stop me rolling on to my back as once there it's difficult to get back on my side.

What about those wedge shape pillows that they use in delivery rooms of maternity hospital ?

If not find in yellow pages the closest place that sells foam and they will make one for you

Hope you find something

The baby nursing pillows are really good and versatile to adjust for sleeping, plus the teddy bear range in dunelm mill branches is excellent as they limit pressure points as they are so soft.

Hi.. I have a body pillow. I got mine from Duvet and Pillow Warehouse. Its a straight puffy long pillow, like a bolster, I love it, you can cuddle it into any shape you want. Can't remember how much though

I will suggest U-shaped pregnancy pillow which is the completely different style of pillow. It is better if you are a back sleeper. It will provide you full support.
