Body Pillows.

I have real problems getting comfortable at night. Obviously like most people with fibromyalgia sleep is not a guaranteed commodity. I have come across the body pillow which claims to help. As anyone used this aid and how did you get on?

Hi, I have a body pillow - I don’t use it all the time, but when various body areas are misbehaving, it’s a Godsend! Make sure you check the length if you buy one, as they do vary. Only downside is that poor OH gets even less room in the bed lol! Or I move to the spare bed - either way, it’s fine 😂😂

No I have not but interested to hear from those who have, I have a v shaped pillow for bed for shorter naps and resting I would not be without that. 😀💤

Anything that’s helpful I say , I have a double bed and I don’t share it with the husband , need my own space (and cannot put up with the snoring ha ha) I do find a comfy mattress a big help too xx

Yes I have one & they do take up a lot of room. My temperature control is fried so I just overheat with mine but I did find the support was really good & comforting until I went on 🔥

Thanks. I will have a look. If it works for one of the night owls it may be worth a go. Next problem. Wife also as fibromyalgia so it could be a squeeze.

Hi

I bought one but didn't find it any use for me. I have my long hot water bottles. I bought a seat/ massager the other week. It back , bum and thighs , it is brilliant!! Hope you find something that helps you. Take care Lynne

Hi I use a pillow to hug every night and sometimes one behind my back - I find that helps tremendously - no need for an expensive body pillow!

A while back I posted that I have a blow up mattress permanently on my bed,as they aren't ment to be used all the time ive went through a few but its worth it to be able to get out of bed within a minute rather than trying to move for ten,my sleeping is back to 90%normal sleep pattern and I couldn't do without it.I'm getting a huge body pillow soon for leg elevating etc but it can be trial and error finding what works for your body to be rested:)

Never thought of trying a blow up mattress!🤯 Just had a look at a few & they look great, definitely worth a try. Quick question if you don't mind, do they hold heat?

I usually buy cheap ones from a well known catalogue shop: o my friend has a full sized one like a big high bed,she loves it,the thing i would say is I put a mattress protector on mine under a sheet but the actual mattress gets damp with sweat a little probably coz its plastic etc,I dont find them cold when covered up:) maybe try a cheap one first?:))

Ok thanks for that, I'd love it if it was cold though 🥵🤗

Same! I've got 2 (4.5tog) but go from cold to boiling in minutes so it's like doing the hokey cokey all bl##dy night! You put your left leg in, left leg out 🥺😂😂

I love your analogy, it made me smile. It describes so well my nightly 'ritual' 😄

I did have one of thoses, but sent it back - really wasn't for me, but there are many differen't types., so some will be better than others. I can not stand a normal mattress either, so invested in a memory foam mattress - one that comes all packed away so you can fit it in your car boot, and its been great - it has no springs or coils

Thank you all for your kind replies. I think I will give it ago! If the pillow does not work for me then the wife says she will have.

I am glad you found a mattress that suited you Zoonie, the last normal mattress I purchased was a silent night and it was like sleeping on concrete - it was awful for me and same problem when I stayed in hotels. I rarely get warm so not an issue for me, thankfully
