hi im new here and haven't been diagnosed yet,but my care coordinator thinks im suffering from fibromyalgia,im in awfull pain all the time from head to toe,its got worse since april 2015.and I don't have to do much to feel really tired,im on morphine and amytriptoline,but not helping.im at my wits end.my care coordinators going to talk to my gp.as he just keeps upping the two meds I just mentioned.also in april when my ribs were very painfull,I called emergency dr out and he said could be fibromyalgia.but since then ive got worse,and can get no relief from burning stinging pain all over and feeling like my muscles are really tight. even hurts just typing this.anyone any comments please that may help.

So sorry to hear that you are suffering so much pain. My fibro started as costo chondritis which is inflammation of the rib cage which could be the cause of your very sore ribs. This pain then started to go around my back and I started to have the stabbing burning sensation which you describe. I also found if I tried to exert myself at all that I was exhausted in a very short time. I had always been a very active person before this even though my overall health has never been marvellous.
Have you had a look at our mother site Fibromysalgia Action Uk as there is a wealth of information there and you can perhaps have a look at the list of fibro symptoms to see where yours fit into this. It might be beneficial to ask to be referred for an appointment at a Pain Clinic. Please let us know how you are doing.x
hi there yes I had awfull rib pain in april and since then things have just got worse.when dr came out it april about my rib pain he said fibromyalgia.but he was the out of hours gp.since then I have been getting nowhere with my gp.just keeps increasing my morphine and amitriptoline.its so annoying as I need to find out whats wrong.thank god for my social worker who is going to talk to my gp.yes ive looked on the mother site and my symptoms are the same and I have most of them.just so annoying going round in circles with my gp.I don't have to do much to feel exhausted.and so very sore from head to toe.very frustrating when ive been getting out and about but now that's a struggle.take care.linda
