Hi just back from hol in Portugal. Heat helped muscles and slept better. However been really poorly since come home. Not normally as wiped out as this . Last 2 days ache all over and drop dead tired. Guts playing up too. Totally cheesed of with being so dizzy and headaches are a topic on their on

Disappointed with myself as feel should have perhaps stayed home as this seems to be a step up on fibro. Maureen

Holidays are great for morale, try not to let it put you off in the future!

I am so sorry to read that you are feeling so poorly now that you are home, and I genuinely hope that you start to feel better soon.

In my experience the warm weather always makes my symptoms diminish.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Could be the difference in the weather between here and Portugal but fingers crossed after your body gets used to the transition you will feel some benefits from your holiday and at least you will have lovely memories to look back on.x

Wow mo1mo2,

Welcome back! I'm so glad you gathered your courage together and went to Portugal. I've never been - what was it like? Is it the sort of place people with our sort of condition can visit and enjoy without too much discomfort?

How long was the flight? What was the hotel like and what was the food like? Would you recommend them?

I'm really sorry you're feeling the effects of the travel on your return - the same thing happened to me when I got back from Barcelona - I think I ached and slept for three day straight. Of course, Barcelona is a little hilly so I think I did overdo it quite a bit but the beautiful sights, the lovely weather and food, more than made up for the pain I suffered later.

Like me, you may also be suffering the depletion of Adrenaline (at least that's what my doctor said). Apparently, when we travel away from home, we're sort of permanently 'on alert' or 'on guard' because we don't want to lose our stuff or take a wrong step or encounter some problems we hadn't prepared for but once we get home and allow ourselves to rest and relax, the adrenaline flows away and we're left with the raw aches and pains to cope with. It's a bit like how some people are always ill when they have a few days off work.

I hope it passes in a few days for you and you can start to look forward to planning your next trip. Well done. You're definitely an inspiration for the rest of us.

Thanks for encouragement. This has to be one of my worst days. My head just wont ease and feel so week I wish I could crawl into a hole and die. I have neurology app next mon so am going to really moan at him. Portugal is lovely and you would like it as is very relaxing . We keep away from Albuferia as it is busy and very modern. Had planned to go in May but seems totally out of question as could not even stand in bank today Hope things not to bad with you
