Yes I went on the Actipatch trial last year hoping that it would help my lower back and hip pain which is the one thing I have not been able to control at all but unfortunately it did not touch it. Might not be the Actipatch fault because a combination of physio led exercise, acupuncture, Tens and medication has not touched it and the only thing I thought was benefitting it was the hydrotherapy and I wonder whether that was more because of the gorgeous warmth of the water rather than the exercises as the only time I am without pain is in the bath.
I really think it is worth a try for people as there is everything to gain and nothing to lose and the device is simple to operate and to wear. Just because it did not work for me doesn't mean that it isn't a valuable tool as there are different sorts suitable for knee, back and shoulder and hips.
Good luck to anyone who gives it a go and I sincerely hope it works for you.x
Not tried this myself but I want to wish you all the best of luck with your trial.
Good luck

I have been wearing one on my right hip (where I was diagnosed with Hip Bursitis a few years ago) for about a year now. It certainly keeps the pain under control - and I would not be without it now.
