Actipatch for fibro.

I have had fibro for years.  Causing poor recovery of muscles from sports etc.  Have low stamina and need to pace myself.  Also atrial fibrillation needing a pacemaker.  My main problem is lower back pain caused by facet joint wear and tear and have bursas on the hips.  I had big steroid injections last year and they certainly helped for a while.  But reluctant to keep going down that path

I have just ordered a back Actipatch (£20 from Boots).  as the reports are very good.   Big article in the Daily Mail recently.  Has anyone else used them. They have 720 hours in them. As i dont need pain relief at night hopefully msy last more than a month.

I will let you know if they work.

Sorry to hear about your pain I can commiserate as I get the same and to be honest I think that is my worse symptom now.  I was lucky enough to get a free two month trial a couple of years back for the Actipatch and wore it in that area.  Unfortunately it had no effect whatsoever and in fact I felt my pain was a little worse.  The one good thing if it suits you is that th device seemed to last longer than expected.  I am not being negative just honest.  I know several people on the forum got good relief when they started with them.  I haven't seen any posts recently relating whether the benefits carried on.  Do let us know how you get on, fingers crossed for you.x

Hi I have one, I wear it for work over my worst spot which is high between my shoulder blades. I've found it helps me.  Hope you get some relief with it. Take care kath

Hi folks. Sadly actipatch didnt do anything. Maybe better for muscular probs. Had osteopathy with accupuncture which has helped. Also stretching exercises help getting straightened.
