turned down for pip
Just wanted to say how sorry to hear that you have been refused PIP. I helped my husband win an appeal for ESA but unfortunately have no experience of appeals for PIP but I am sure others on the site will be able to help you.
Hi hunni I am so sorry to here that
I do know that they look at your evey day struggle and mobility and not the condition its self
I go the standard in both care and mobility you can reapliy I would if you can and rember to go by a bad day and give as much info like consultant letter docter letter any one who supports you
Take care good luck if you appeal x
So sorry to hear that. I had my P.I.P. assessment yesterday got to wait 4-6 wks for outcome. You can ask for them to look at it again and ask for a copy of the documents the DWP relied upon to make their decision. I hope u don't mind me asking but who was your assessment with. Capita or ATOS?
Hi
If you go to the benefits and work website benefitsandwork.co.uk/perso...
You can self assess your self there is also info on making a claim for PIP
Also how to appeal
Good luck
Hi nettybetty
I am so sorry to read this, and I want to wish you all the best of luck with your appeal.
Good luck
Ken
I'm new to this site so I'll say HI to all of you,I was diagnosed with Fibro last year and about six weeks ago I like Nettybetty was turned down after my Assessment (sorry yours went the same way netty)I'm in so much pain with my Knees, which are getting worse but because I push myself as I'm determined not to give in and become frightened of going out,and because can walk so many bus lengths it's laughable we're on Pain killers why are they given to us if not to help with pain when walking ect.I will not be appealing don't think I could go through that again I find it to stressful .If this gets read I Thank You X
Hi Peggy Dyer I am so sorry you did not get it. It seems it is how far we can walk before the pain is unbearable which may only be two or three paces in some cases and up to a bus length in others. You score points for different thins have a read up and do apply again if you need help ask we are here to assist you. That goes for you to Netty Betty. Try not to get cross it uses so much energy and we need that for more important parts of daily life.

Hi Peggy,
sorry you have had a bad experience with PIP, I have not applied for it, bbecause of the stress factor of the assessment, but I do feel since you have been through it you have got to appeal, they rely on people giving up at first refusal so Appeal, you will probably get it. The very best of luck to you, hugs Honor x
Thank you honor but too stressful and so out in the sticks nightmare gentle hugs being sent xx
Iv got my assent on the 23rd I am dreading it mine at 9am in a morning wich is good in a way cos not the best then but in anther town so up very early for me to be ready yes go and for it again hope u both get it best of look I will let u know how I get on xx
Hi Lesley,
Oh 9am appointment, I'd need to be up by 5.30am to be ready for that time! Why are you being sent to another town? Maybe to assess your ability to get there, for start of a work day, you have got to be crafty with that crew, thinking a step ahead of them all the time, best of luck on the 23rd hugs Honor x
I live in Speke and was sent to Warrington back of beyond so stressful xx
Thanks I will need it my OT say phone them up they are sending of her people she seeing how can not get out a lot to go there but I sed it will put me back then and my husband off at that time so he can take me but when he get home tonight going to have a look at where it is and if they have a car park cos I can not walk that Farr don't know whether to take my zimmer or stick depend how Farr it is if it a long way from parking will phone them up x
Hi I am waiting the result of my PIP assessment that I had last Wednesday with atos. Some may remember my appt was in London and would have ment getting a bus, train, tube and walking. I rang to say I physically could not do this and my claim was regenerated. Two weeks later I got a home visit! They lady that came at 9am was nice but very thorough. My house has been adapted for me - wet room, grab rails, raised toilets etc, all by social services. I hope and pray you are successful with your appeals. Gentle hugs xx
thank you dan,I have an appointment with cab tomorrow to see if they can help.well done you no taking no for an answer xxx netty x
I have just been turned down for ESAU form in the post for PI
P what r the chances of getting that?
just want to throw the towel in
Me too Karen my nerves go to pieces carnt do with it you are so young Bless you suffering with this horrible thing xx
Good for you Dan nice one x
Yes you must appeal don't let them win, I agree with you its all a big con. I was turned down initially, sent in appeal papers and for some reason the decision was overturned and I now get living allowance, failed mobility because I could walk a bus length, crazy! Don't give up because that's what they want you to do. Good luck.xx
look on fightback forums.tells you all you need to know x
thankyou to all the lovely people on this site xxxxx yes I will appeal as if I don't get pip I don't know what will become of me as I am struggleing to work full time and as im single cant manage on part time wages xx
I 'm on DLA at the moment, PIP not in my area, but I was refused DLA before so I appealed and I went to a tribunal and I won, so I would advise anyone to appeal if you are turned down. I was nervous going, but I showed them that turning me down was a mistake, I had all my money back dated aswell, so its worth a go
