I've had back hip neck pain since I gave birth to my son, and I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet, I just wanted to know what painkillers work best for you.

Which painkillers work best for you?
Hot water bottle and stress reduction.
Pregablin helps me best with neuropathic pain which is of the burning, knifing kind. Like Betty I find that a hot water bottle can often ease the pain and also an Epsom salt bath can help and Ibuprophen for inflammation. I am on a cocktail of other drugs but they only ease the joint pain a little. I do use a Tens but it only seems to help whilst I actually have it on me I think the sensation is just a distraction from the pain. Gentle stretching exercises can also help bunched up muscles.
Hope that you get a proper diagnosis and some help for your pain. Soft hugs.x
Hi zoeb
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and I genuinely hope that you find it useful, informative and loads of fun! I have pasted you a link to our mother site, FibroAction which hosts loads of useful Fibro information.
FibroAction Website:
I have found that we all react differently to our Fibro and our pain medication. So when one member says Naproxen works best for them, another member will come along and say they are allergic to it or it does nothing for them? And this continues with Co-Codamol, Tramdol, oramorph etc ..... What I would say to you it that pain management is a case of trial and error. Seeing which drugs work best for you.
There is another avenue of pain management that you could also discuss with your GP, and this is alternative methods such as acupuncture, TENS Machine, Hydrotherapy, CBT, ..... the list is quite long?
I want to wish you all the best of luck with getting a diagnosis one way or the other? And getting some good pain management that really helps alleviate your pain.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
