Love it the effort of trying to put baubles on a 6ft tree takes away enjoyment of the event .

Practical energy saving idea the best solution is the simplest :-)

Positive distractions that have beautiful results a win win :-)

I'm busy colouring on the advice of my therapist and it really does make a difference to the perception of pain and not thinking too hard about unnecessary things. Mine don't have beautiful results like Paula's tree, but they are helping me at the moment :-)

Any help is always welcome, I am using mindfulness it produces no more than distraction but I am working on it because it makes a difference :-)

Ah now that is something I would like to know more about. A friend who is a specialist uses it both for her and some of her patients - must do some research into and if it helps then I will be extremely grateful to you for jogging my non existent memory !!

That is really pretty, you must be very proud of yourself producing such a beautiful tree. So much nicer than a huge one, i wish I could figure out how you've done it and try to replicate it, guaranteeing that it would look nothing like as lovely as yours :-) :-)

Its lovely, I spent three hours listening to christmas music putting 16 years worth of decorations on our 6ft xmas tree, it was very relaxing and enjoyable.

That exactly how I do it, Christmas music and a little help from my daughter :)

I bought a polystyrene cone from hobbycraft and got myself a glue gun and bought some pretty thick ribbon and organza and feathers and just cut ribbon about 2 inch and fold in half then stick all around cone alternate with organza till the top then finish off with feather trim x

It is really beautiful. You are quite talented. It does help to do things like that. I spent hours last night listening to Christmas music online and downloading it so I could burn a CD and play it from my stereo. The holidays are fun. When people put up lights and I go around to see them, it takes my mind off my troubles. I hope your holidays are as lovely as your tree!

So Pretty. I love making things. My daughter has made polystyrene baubles covered with napkins they look really cool.

That is a fantastic tree :) read your post on how to do it so I might just give it a try, I think my daughter would love it for her room.

So original. Went to the ballet the other week and they had a very large purple, pink and soft rose one made out of rosettes and it was so different.x
