Yoga?

Hello all

I hope you are as well as possible, does anyone do or has anyone tried to do yoga? If so how did you find it and did it help your fibro at all? A friend has asked me to go with her to a class, although I do lots of stretches shown to me by physio I still feel as flexible as a plank of wood.

Hi furry,

I find yoga very beneficial, I think Hath a yoga is the easiest one.

I go once a week for a 90 minute class.

My instructor is great ... she doesn't force me to do any exercises I am not happy with, or suggests alternative easier ones.

So let your teacher know that you have fibromyalgia before the class, and "listen" to your body, if you start to feel sore then take a break.

I try and do a few of the postures at home every evening... it helps to keep me flexible.

I especially enjoy the relaxation session at the end of the class, when we get to relax lying flat on the floor.

Remember we are all different, but I think you should give it a try

Hi Furry

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I have tried Yoga but found it too demanding for me. I think that I am rather physically rigid and so I just couldn't do it! I want to wish you all the best of luck if you decide to give ti a go as it can be very beneficial.
