Please can you advise how long after an accident were you actually diagnosed with fibromyalgia and did your symptoms slowly increase during that period?

Hello, Yes it is believed that Fibro is in some way related to a trauma of some type. It could be an accident. major surgery, Abuse physical or mental. some of us can pinpoint what set it off, others cant.
Some just dont get better from their trauma and get worse instead. until eventually fibro is diagnosed.
Others, like myself. do appear to get better and continue to lead a normal life. Speaking now just for myself. I did get over the operation that i had but never got back the energy that i had before. Over the next 25yrs i developed Tinnitus. ibs. period problems ,ect.
It wasnt until a couple of years ago that i was hit with a major Flare and a diagnosis was made.
Although the pain ect from the flare has eased it has never returned to what it was.
I now use an electric wheel chair due to fatigue.
