Is this worth all the stress and worry dnt think I have the energy to fight for pip ..I no of people who get pip and thers is nufin worng with them this system is all wrong ..has eny1 els had this division eny advice wood b greatful

Hi Amanda, I was also just turned down for PIP and have written to them to ask for a mandatory review. If you search for my post 'PIP blues' some of the replies I got had really useful info in them that might help. Linda

I am so sorry to read that you have lost your claim for PIP, and I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve.

If it was myself I would go ahead and appeal as I would feel that I have nothing to lose therefore there would be no stress nor anxiety for me! However, I am aware that not everybody sees life in this context and many people would feel awful whilst all of this is taking place.

I want to wish you all the best of luck with whatever you decide to do?

So sorry to hear that you have been turned down for PIP it must be very distressing for you. Just thinking about your GP's report, did he actually do one? I only ask as I was in receipt of DLA and was turned down when I applied to renew it. I could not understand it as I had got worse and was on much more medication and I knew that my GP was supportive of me. I asked to see the evidence they had based their decision on as one of these was the GP's report. Well they couldn;t actually produce a report as he had receive a letter but misfiled it and had failed to do one! He was all apologetic andquickly did one for me which I sent off and asked for a reconsideration and was reawarded DLA within a couple of weeks. Certainly worth looking into. Hi their on my pip letter it says they based ther decision on the information from my GP wen I ask hour in January if she wood support me with pip ..she said pip was for people who can do enyfin for themselves.... she also said it might be a good idear to go to church and have som1 prey for me ...am totally disgusted with the hole thing ..and think its best a change my GP I feel am not getting enywer

That is a very strange response from your GP as they shouldn't bring religion into it. I could understand if you were both committed Christians and she knew it and thought prayer and thinking that people were praying for your recovery would help. It seems to me that you now have no belief in her and if it is at all possible it would be best to change. I can see from her other comment that she seems to think that PIP is literally only for the bedridden or someone having to use a wheelchair. I know that the new points system is much tighter and they seem to have got rid of the lower rate of care which is what I am on so I know I am going to struggle to get it but it is still worth a try. You can ask to see the evidence so I think that is your first step but be quick about it as you only have so much time. Good luckx

So sorry to hear you were turned down. It is unusual to get no points at all, did you have any help completing your form?. I would definately appeal, when you do you should get sent a copy of the doctors report. All the best.
