Hello, this is the first time I've posted here. I'm feeling really anxious at the moment and every day tasks are overwhelming me. I'm trying to take ill health retirement from teaching as haven't been well enough for two years, but need to submit my second appeal when I feel I can face it.
Anyway, I live in south Devon and myself and a fellow fibro friend are setting up a local fibrofriends support group for people in the Teignbridge area of Devon. Is there anyone else from this area on this forum? If so and if you'd like to be part of our group please let me know or let us know on our Facebook page, Fibro Friends Teignmouth.
Nice to meet you all.x

Hi, is there nothing listed on the fibromyalgia uk support groups page? I found our local one that way and they are such a lovely friendly bunch of people. I do hope you find something as it really helps to exchange information and ideas as well as just feeling emotionally supported during the bad times. Sue xx
Hello Lou. just thought that I would let you know that there is an existing support group in Teignmouth. This is the web address to get info on the support group but also on lot of other information. fibroaction.org The information about support groups is on the left of the page.
Hi Lou, sadly one that was based in Exeter folded up - too many Chiefs and not enough Indians ........I'm definitely an Indian ! Anyway I'm east if Exeter so unfortunately I can't make the Teignmouth Group, but hope you succeed.
Welcome to the forum, and i sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance.
I do not live in your area, but I genuinely want to wish you all the best of luck with setting up your group. Also, with your planned retirement, I again, wish you all the best of luck
Al my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
I live in Torquay and helped to set up a group in Paignton a few years ago,but it folded after a while. Its hard work running a group when you have fibro yourself.Wish you luck on your new venture, hope all goes well.
