Does anyone out there live in the Keighly/Halifax area? I'm looking to buy a small house and have looked at the more rural areas around here. Any suggestions of nice areas? (I've looked at Denholme)? I know this isn't exactly a Fibro problem, but I do have Fibro and am doing this on my own and just need a bit of advice to help with my 'foggy' brain! X.

Hi Gramma

I don't live in this area but I just wanted to wish you luck with house hunting.

Good luck

Hi I live 9 miles outside Halifax but the other way, so not towards Keighley... Do you want a village for your property... Right move online or Trovit Property could be helpful.

Thanks for replying Mistyang. I've been on Rightmove etc. but I just wanted advice on nice areas. I would like a village I think, I live on the East coast just now but want to move west. I'm retired and on my own, so need to feel pretty safe.

Hi Gramma,

I live on my own too in a village location 9 miles outside of Halifax and I am happy where I am... there is the Howarth area which is pretty, very hilly though.. there are lots of pretty villages in the area.. have you been to view any properties as yet?
