Hi Cowsrock,

Sorry to hear you are suffering so badly at the moment.

You mentioned that you are worrying whether you might have LUPUS,

well as you know it is similar save for the continuing infections and low

tolerance rate.

I am afraid you must rely upon your Doctor to answer

this question so if you do not have any appointments

booked please make an appointment with your doctor

and get him to check you through.

Good luck and take care

The answer is yes I have they think UCTD ,last Summer lupus was thrown in the mix but fibro has been in my diagnoses from day one I also have sjorgrens which involves dry eyes ,dry mouth ,poss stones salvia glands dry nose ,pains in jaw ,itchy and painful ears poss stomach issues the list is end less it is of course auto immune and Venus Williams the tennis player has it fatigue is also part and parcel ,you can help yourself with the eye with Johnson baby shampoe ( no more tears ) very hot water in a bowl use flannel put it across eyes 4 times a day at least replace flannel in hot water every time it cools down. I saw opthamoligist for this last week ,I am also on antibiotic eye cream but the hot flannel has been really good, eyes are soothed and my nose is more comfortable look up blepharitis because eyes arnt being lubrcated properly they get clogged up and tissue becomes inflamed this might help good luck x

It is possible. I have aspects of Lupus and Sjogrens and also Hughes Syndrome. But as Gins says the person you need to speak to is your doctor. Good luck.x

Hi cowsrock

I am so sorry to read that you keep developing infections, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these issues. Have you asked your GP for a blood test for LUPUS? It may be worth asking? I have read posts from other members who have multiple illnesses including LUPUS, so it is really worth discussing this with your doctor.

All my hopes and dreams for you

The other possibility is that you're simply very low and your immune system has taken a battering lately, so everything seems to get you? I've been through phases like that, when I seemed to catch everything going, and always a severe version of it - eg pneumonia from a cold, kidney problems from a urine infection etc etc. So consider this possibility first, and what I do when it happens to me is rest, rest and more REST. I also take Echinacea faithfully for about a week, which gives your immune system a boost. If that doesn't work then and only then start panicking about it being something more scary! Hugs.

Hi a word of warning on echinacea should be avoided if you auto immune issues , I have been told I can't even drink my herble tea with it in . Unless it is a underactive immune .and as lupus is a overactive condition I expect you get my drift ,good luck x

You sure can sweetheart. Please go get tested. It's also possible it's the Fibro, I've had my right eye get inflammation in it twice, which is more dangerous than infection. Plus I get UTI sometimes. It needs to be checked out. Hope you feel better soon!!! xxx Mitzi

Thank you all for your advice, I will be getting a blood test soon, I have also had chest infections and when I'm feeling well , I have only managed to give blood twice because of all this, I am O- so it would benifit everyone, pain in the bump.
