Hi Jar1 :)

I have read this article before and it does pose an interesting theory which one day we'll find out if it's true :)

It is good to see the exact points they believe our pain is, we know ourselves where it is of course!

Interesting theory/reading and hope the others find it is too :)

Thanks for sharing :)

Hi jar1

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Thank you so much for the link, it was extremely interesting, and it would be wonderful to see what follow up research can be undertaken to verify and make this sort of issue and results mainstream.

Take care

Ken

The article says that fibro patients all have very painfull hands? Is this the case to all of you? Are your hands also swollen?

in reply to pineapple_head

HI My hand are painful but not swollen. I have had a carpel tunnel op on my right hand and have been told that sooner or later I will need my left hand done.

Hope this helps hugs sue xx

I have oa in my joints & this has caused my fingers to twist out of shape and are very stiff & painful. I also have trouble holding things and opening jars for example. Don't know how much of this can be explained by this study.

I have had Fibro for at least twenty years and it is only in last five years my hands have caused problems it was neck, back and left hip which and still does causes me most problems, I have had carpel tunnel diagnosed in last 6 months, recommended surgery but refused as I am not healing properly, a bruise became a ulcer with 8 months treatment and no tissue regrowth leg scarred now, slight cuts take 4-6 weeks to heal and are leaving scars anybody else having this problem, always asked if got diabetes, I don't. So although have RA don't agree with findings, add on ailments virtigo etc

Interesting. Would explain tingling and heavy painful limbs, my rheummy has already stated its to do with communication system as does my neurologist, why wehave to keep hearing that medics think its all in the mind...this statement does blow my mind into emotional state. We need a clear one line statement drumed into the medics....MOVE ON ACCEPT WE HAVE "A Nurological comunication problem" and get on with a cure in our lifetimes please so I can play with my grandchildren before I get too old and degenerated!!........

Oops sorry for the rant, dont know where that came from....thanks for article
