Brings back memories. As a child and into my teens I was in a carnival marching/display band and loved every second of It. The last pic you put up was also apt, son is high up in the scout hierarcy and his sisters two are in scouts and beavers

I must admit I loved it as a kid, we marched with Sunday school for Whitsun. Except for one year when I pushed a bead so far up my nose that the local GP had to come and remove it, and my nose bled all over the smocking of my pale pink dress, so I walked at the back in disgrace with my mother! X

My beloved daughter pushed a wax crayon up her nose. A green one she proudly told the nurse, so that the puppies coudn t get it she only cried at the end. They wouldn1t give it her back.!!
