Hi PAULINE25
I am so sorry to read that you have been suffering with such bad toothache and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue.
I do not know if Fibro can cause toothache, I am thinking about this? I sincerely hope that another member can answer this question for you?
I want to wish you all the best of luck and wish you a speedy recovery from your pain.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hello Pauline Sorry you are having tooth problems. Mine keep falling out I don`t have many left and most of them are loose. You have probably already tried it but I find rinsing with a non alcoholic mouthwash 2 or 3 times a day helps me with the pain.
hugs sue xx
Thanks for replying,it's just another pain to live with. so good we all got folks on here that we can ask these questions.
soft hugs Pauline.x
Hi Pauline
So sorry to hear you are suffering with the "phantom" toothache and vertigo on top you must be feeling really low.. Yes I have suffered with it on and off for about four and a half years now. Have even suffered with it in gums where there are no teeth. The Dental Specialist I saw when I had a wisdom tooth out explained to me that some people just have this pain for so fathomable reason and suggested pain killers ha! ha" as though I am not already on a smartie box full of them already. If the fibro is bad I tend to have one of these flares in the gums so I am sure there is a link. I have found Difflam rinse does seem to help a bit with it and during the flare eating softer things as chewing anything hard seems to make things worse. As you also have vertigo could there be something wrong with your ears and sinuses as they are all linked so closely? Do hope that you get some relief soon. Big hugsxx
Hi Pauline, I've had all my teeth hurting all at once, this happens to me daily, I've been to my own dentist and the dentle Hosp, they done many tests, put an instrument on each tooth to test the nerve and boy did that hurt, they said there isn't anything wrong with my teeth, its the fibro, I offered to have all my teeth out, there answer was, "there's no point your nerve endings will still be there" which to me made sense, as this fibro affects , the ligaments, tendons , muscles and nerve endings, and I was told this again, by the late Proffessor Davies from guys Hosp, he was the Proffessor or fibromyalgia, ..this may sound strange but sometimes my teeth feel like they are swollen, I get a little relief by holding a heated wheat bag on my face , when it first started happening about two years ago, no one listened to me, the only way they started to take me seriously was when I told them if they don't find out the reason ill be throwing myself thru a plate glass window, that's how much pain I was in, ...sorry I can't give you better news...gentle hugs...Dee xxx
Again thanks to you all, I went to my doctor on Monday before dentist on Tuesday to see if it could all be linked, but he said no also he would not give me anything for the vertigo said it goes quicker on it's own, well off to work now hope I manage a full day.
Hope you all have a low pain day.

Hello Pauline15,
Is the pain definitely toothache or your jaw? I get temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) or (TMJD) which affects your jaw but I sometimes feel my teeth are hurting too! Here is some information which may be of interest;

I believe you may find that many people with Fibro experience this condition
I hope this helps

I think this could be a symptom of temporo mandibular joint disease (TMJ). It is caused by problems with the muscle that joins the lower and upper jaw, called the lateral pterygoids. It can manifest itself with pain in the teeth. When the lateral pterygoids are inflammed, it also causes dizziness and poor balance. It is not a problem with your teeth but the pain from the pterygoids is referred to your teeth. Other symptoms include tenderness in your face just in front of your ear, headache, tinnitus, difficulty with opening your jaw. It is very common in people with fibromyalgia. If it doesn't go away, go back to your dentist and tell him you have fibro and therefore very prone to TMJ and ask him if he can send you to a specialist dentist - they have some TMJ dentists in national health hospitals, or if you can afford to pay, you can go to a private dentist.
Treatment - I use a mouth frame, I have one for night that locks my jaws in position, and one for daytime use that I can wear over my lower teeth when the pain is bad. It really works - I can't imagine how, but if I have bad face pain, headache, tooth ache, I put in my frame and within 5 minutes it is really eased. I hope this helps. Love and hugs xx
Hi.
Is definitely my teeth and pain has moved onto another tooth, no problem with jaw and no pain near ear, TMJ sounds awful poor you.
