Strange symptoms
Hi,
It may just be another aspect of Fibromyalgia but please go check with your GP to be sure. Fibrofog ( bad memory, etc) is quite common as are the aches and pains. It's also possible to have other issues along with the Fibro, like osteoarthritis, etc. Your GP should be able to help.
Hugs

Hi Maise
Have you seen a Rheumatoogist yet to get a official diagnosis that is the way to go because they will eliminate every thing else it might be. So ask your GP

Hi Maisie
I cannot say why you are experiencing these symptoms as I am not a medical professional they may or may not be connected to Fibromyalgia.
I also think that you should have a chat to your GP regarding these new symptoms so that they can assess whether you need to see a specialist such as a Rheumatologist or Neurologist. They have the ability to eliminate possible illnesses as well as diagnose new ones and then suggest possible treatments or therapies.
Wishing you wellness and smiles and hope you find answers soon

Hi Maisie1
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your issue.
I think with all new pain of this nature or when a pain increase exponentially, we should always discuss the issue with Our GP. This way they can rule anything else out and maybe advise, or give you something extra if you need it.
Please keep us all up to date with how you get on.
All my hopes and dreams for you.

Hi Maisie1 - Sounds like you need to ask your doctor for thyroid tests. I went to my doctor with these very same symptoms, as they got worse and were not going away on there own. It started with muscle cramps especially at night when I was in bed, then developed into a very sore elbow and arm which I went to see the doctor with, as I could not get any sleep. First I was given strong painkillers ( diagnosed tennis elbow ?? )which numbed the pain until I came off them. Once the painkillers wore off every joint in my body felt sore, felt so bad I went back to see another doctor, who when I described my symptoms sent me for a number of blood tests which eventually came back as me having an under active thyroid which apparently went way over the normal scale. Levothyroxin was prescribed at 25mcg and blood tests every 3 months dosage was upped by 25mcg until I was on the correct dosage for me 125mcg. I feel great now do 3 exercise classes a week not bad for an over 65. Strange I never gave it a thought but 2 of my sisters have the same thing and are on meds. Good Luck hope you get things sorted PS> If doctors try and fob you off with depression SCREAM!. No seriously this has been known to happen. Stick to your guns and get those all important blood tests and take it from there.
I have health anxiety so of course everything is contributed to that. Thanks for all your advice
