I haven't been on here for such a long long time. My sense of humour is slowly disappearing.

I hope you are all feeling as well as you can do with this horrible condition.

Every week another bit of me becomes painful. Even the ends of my toes, the balls of my feet, earlobes & my eye muscles.

I feel so so lazy cos I can't do what I want. I do things then my body screams pain.. Then I am down for ages.

My home makes me so depressed cos I can't keep it like I want to. I just want to run away.

Hi Annie, I'm sorry you are having such a rough ride at the moment, but I'm glad that you have come back for us to support you through this time. I think a lot of us have been struggling with the weather kicking fibro into overdrive, it certainly has been for me, so you have my full understanding and sympathy. Like you I'm finding it hard to keep my house like I normally do, I've just tried to Hoover the living room and I've only done about half and had to sit down. One thing really rang true with me and that's the feeling of being lazy, that thought rattles round my head day and night, everyday I tng I will attempt more, and then I fail and it's a circle I really wish I could break ! I will however reassure you that you aren't lazy, it is your body not being able to cope, it's a hard one to get your head round and as I've said I struggle to, but my great doctor says many many times I expect too much ofo. Myself and I think this could easily be the same for you.

So take heart Annie, come here and post and people will do their best to cheer you up. We do try to have some fun as you will see if you go to the comedy corner, and I promise you a dose of silliness does wonders for lifting depression and mood in general.

I'm sending lots of positive healing vibes your way :-)

Hi Annie , yes there are a lot of us feeling that way, you do come to accept in time, but never worry whether you are lazy or not, the work will still be there tomorrow, even if you do it today it's gonna be there again tomorrow, so just do it when and if you can, not worth knocking your self up, relax when you have to, you will find it a lot easier to then have a go, I have been there many times in my 50 odd years of this, you keep coming back on here and having a rant and rave, we all know what you are going thru as we are in the sme position and have been there many times..sending you healing hugs and positive thoughts ..............

Many many thanks for the lovely replies. Its great being reminded that I am not the only one.

I'v had this creeping on me for 20 odd years.

Gentle Hugs to you all

You're definitely not alone.

Pain causes stress which makes us feel depressed.

It is a vicious circle.

You are not being lazy. Fibromyalgia is an illness.

I can't keep on top of my housework either at the moment.

As Dee says. It will still be there tomorrow.

Thinking of you

Hugs

Hello Annie, I was a professional cleaner simply because I loved cleaning, I loved the feeling of satisfaction of a nice clean classroom, office, lab or factory clean room and loved having a spotless house. Now I look around at the grubby windows and nets. At the marks on the walls and shudder. but I don`t feel guilty. I know that at the moment I can`t do much about it. I am hoping that I will feel better when the warmer weather comes and I can try doing it a bit at a time So please don`t beat yourself up over it there are a lot of us in the same boat. hugs Sue xx

Hello Annie 52, hope you are ok. I am new here, diagnosed with fibro/myofascial pain last May but had it for years!

I get very down sometimes, but then I bounce back. I used to feel lazy because before I got bad with this Fibro I was very house proud, not a show off just liked keeping my little home neat and tidy for my family. I used to feel so lazy some days but now I tell myself I am ill and tired not lazy, same applies to you.

A friend of mine with Fibro gave me a tip she heard from someone, just do the essentials.

Give the bathroom, kitchen work tops, and sink a wipe over, make sure leftovers go in the bin, the rest can wait.

If I have a bad day. I get up to feed my dogs. Have breakfast and wash up my things. Wipe down the counters, same with the toilet and wash hand basin and then cup of coffee and back to bed.

I hope you feel better soon x

Hi Annie52

I so sorry to read that you are suffering and feeling so down at the present time. I truly believe our Fibro gives us all low times at differing points, but I know that is no consolation at the present time.

Please try to keep positive and you will come through this stage. Have you been and discussed how you are feeling with your GP? Maybe it is time to amend some of your medications? Maybe your GP could arrange for you to talk to somebody and help lift your spirits?

I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your issues soon.
