Hi other I think a bit of both ,,I really do not understand why so many people with genuine illnesses or disableitys have such a hard time get the right benefits that states in black and white that they are inteitaled to them..why do people who have longterm illnesses or disabiltys get such a hard time getting them or they have to fight for everyfin or have to prove them selfs to people who havint the first I dear A about the illness B if u can cook a meal or put or own clothes on ..I find they hole thing from DLA to pip and they way people get treated for applying for it having to goto medicals or sit in front of people and b treated like a lier is shocking ...I no ther is people on these benefits and ther is not a thing wrong with them ...they should b gave. I should have said that both times the tribunal found in his favour. The second time they gave Atos a reccomendation that he not be reasessed within 2 yrs and Atos still put him in the work support group. He went to job centre and they told him to go home and forget it That there was no way they were going to make him look for work. sue

You're so right that's how we were made to feel too every time. It's ridiculous.

With respect to the toon it's meant to be satire and most definitely to me is ribbing ATOS more than us............. we already feel like that anyway so it would be a pointless joke if aimed in our direction!!

I used to know a few peeps back in the early 90's that would turn up at their assessments act terrified and cry a lot and deemed unfit for work whilst people who were sick had to go to tribunal which is why it's so hard today................ it's partially thanks to them!! The system has not changed same processes differing names!!

Rant over :D and apologies for said rant :D

xxx flufies on route to make up for it :) ;) :)

It's both. Satire can be really hurtful to the prejudiced and they really deserve it. I wonder if I have the courage to send it to my MP :)

I've just failed Emma's PIP and ESA self tests.

There are people on these benefits where there is notHing wrong however I have been in both situation I have been diagnosed with fibro for 18 months but been suffering for. 3 years however 10 years ago I had a serious flare of my eczema my arms were covered from top to bottom covered in bandages everytime I moved they bled and the pain was unbearable so there are situations where skin conditions can stop you working I even ended up in hospital 70miles from home for weeks on end

Hi mayrose54

I sincerely hope that you and your husband are feeling as well as you can be today?

I think this picture is a statement of modern life, from the media to politics. If I were to contact my MP and show them this picture I would be simply wasting my time as I cannot change the mind of the politically afflicted, this is now making me wonder if they are the real disabled?

Al my hopes and dreams for you.

Hi Zeb .I was very careful with the timeing I had had it on my pinterest site for months until the timeing seemed right and then was very careful with the wording. The last thing I wanted was a riot. :P

At the moment I don`t have the energy or the motivation to do much of anything but I am still working it out in my mind, actually I have a picture of a conservative MP on pinterest who has a very `interesting ` face that I may use as a model

Good luck with your group, wish I lived nearer. Hugs sue xxx
