Bit flea ridden too. I've had mixed feelings about the creatures. Wildlife trusts have badger as their logo. But they have this thing about being a pest - although they're protected. Confused or what? It cost £7000 per badger in the cull. economic? hmm Oh, and fenbadger is a contradiction in terms. Like me. Burrowing animals would not normally choose to dig below water though they are related to otters. We have a sett on our local wetland nature reserve but it's really on a small "island" hope I haven't bored you. Keep the funnies coming. :P :P

Feeling sleepy so don't be surprised if I go quiet. :)

I think that Brocks are a wonderful creature and like all our animals are part of the balance of the nature we love. They are usually quite reserve beasties but we constantly invade there territories and we should learn not too.

I am aware that over population leads us to cull so we must endeavor to find kinder methods. Of course they snarl at us when frightened and yes they have fleas we have bed bugs etc be kind to our wild life please.

Gins is in battel mood this morning xx

I am in agreeance gins we disturb the wildlife's habitat all the time leaving them no option but to move or fight for their houses or for somewhere to put it............... sounds just like humans!!!

Plus when numbers decrease of said creatures its ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh we must save them !?! but...............

you half killed em by uprooting their house and destroying their habitat and now we must fight to save them.................

sounds like humans again LOLOL

I also understand it may be necessary from time to time but culling is mean.........my personal opinion anyway :(

Hey gins did you read about that poor giraffe at Copenhagen's zoo? I can't write it here because it would upset too many peeps :o My OH and I were disgusted by it very much :( :( :(

Cor blimey gins! battle and rants for Monday Morning ;) xxx

...............it must be catching! :D

Calming fluffies for us both me thinks LOL

My turn. The rspca, Monkey world. the ape and primate rescue centre in dorset and other organisations went to the Goverment last week to ask for a change in the law on how monkeys in this country are being bred by dealers and sold to any one with the money to pay for one. The people are given no info on how to care for them as a result these animals are suffering,Monkey world was set up to rescue the chimps from spain that were being used as props to photo tourists.Over the years they have rescued animals from all over the world. But the sad thing is that with the boom in the number of people in this country buying monkeys and then finding that they cannot care for them, neither the rspca or Monkey world have enough room to rescue even those whos owners want some one to help by rehoming them, let alone all those who are suffering. The reply they had from the minister that they saw was that they could see no reason to change the law. Typical rant over sue

in reply to

Yeah! its very sad sue My friend and I plan to go to monkey world as she loves primates and its so sad that people buy such animals thinking aw! cute without knowing how to care for them.

My experience with exotic pets has always been good without being allowed to buy without being vetted first just like the animal :o people should also have to prove that they can actually provide reasonable accommodation for such pets.

For me though its the illegal trafficking of said animals in the first place and I don't know if you've ever watched it but there was a series which took you into the world of 'customs' and the things they confiscate and quarrantine. So many illegal animals are brought into the country from monkeys to lizards, snakes and spiders (yuckety yuck shiver) and likewise no care pamphlet given so I'm ranting with you hunny :) xxx

in reply to

Animal airport? I have watched that and its unbelievable what some people will do to animals just to make a profit, Including the guy who hid a turtle down the front of his underpants. That I did have a good laugh at.
