Hardly anyone will be able to answer this question...there are some

beta blockers...you really need to see the doctor...maybe not the GP but

a specialist to get a perfect treatment plan going for you...

There's a lot of things that can be done, do not give up hope..

there are powerful injections and pills that can settle that right down..but

there is nothing good over the counter for that ...

Some patients report that Alcohol drinking helps..please don't go that route...there

are much safer methods to do the job..someone in my family has an extremely shaky

voice when they talk...botox injections into the vocal cords made her voice stop shaking..

so if anything starts shaking on you, there is a lot of hope...don't put off asking. =))

I too suffer with essential tremor, and as Yikes said my doctor very jokingly told me to have a drink......he knew of course that I couldn't with the meds I'm on, but apparently it works for people without other medial conditions, so like Yikes I strongly advise against that option. I would suggest that you talk it through with your GP and see if there is anything that won't impact on the other meds you are taking, that could possibly help.

I wish you well as I know how frustrating it can be :-)

I hate to admit it but a couple of glasses of wine settle my tremors.

I have just had them so am quite defensive. I agree it may be wrong but I know people on tramadol and all sorts of addictive medication and find 2glasses of wine all I need. I do not judge or prosestelise.

I have for the past two years, but it has come along at the same time as extreme anxiety and one seems to go with the other.

I take propananol for my tremor, but found it was making me really dizzy and falling so am cutting it down to hopefully get a right amount to stop the shake but not have me near collapsing any time I stand up! Not found that dose as yet!!
