Hi, I'm sure there is more fiction on there too, I often wonder if they listen to you at all, its all about ticking boxes, next time I'm having mine recorded, as my previous 2 assessments were a work of fiction, I thought for a minute they had sent me someone's else's paper work. I had 2 tribunals and won both, what a waste of money, ATOS should be called to account and be made to tell the truth, it's sicking the stress they cause people.

Do you need to appeal.

I completely agree with every word you've said Mazz, ATOS should definitely be held to account if and when this fiasco ever ends, if not before !!

My last Atos assessor didn't really lie, she just left out the information that would have qualified me for ESA. :)

My atos examiner said on the report that I had been able to bend forward & touch my shins & crouch down & stand up again! Complete lies! I wish we could have videoed the exam, prove her wrong! I lost my DLA 'cos of their decision to say I was capable of work! I'm sending in a new form now that I've won my appeal. Julie xxx

DLA is an in work benefit doing being classed as fit for work shouldn't affect it. However, what can happen is during the assessment the HCP can decide that they've found things that may be contradictory to your DLA application. For example if you were on HR Mobility which means you struggle to walk 50m but the HCP decides you can actually walk 100 or 200m without difficulty then they inform DWP who will look again at your DLA.

My partner can apparently use his hands with no problem and bend his wrists. One wrist is fused and the other has been replaced but cannot twist and his fingers are seriously deformed all due to Psoriatic Arthritus he has just had his second knee replacement. He can pick up an empty box but only by using his forearms. Very useful skill. He does not claim benefit only National Insurance credit for state pension.

I had my DLA taken away about 5 years ago for same reason a pack of lies by ATOS adviser all started back then but unfortunately the Tribunal could not understand why a Dr would Lie at least now it is publicised. They said as I worked full time and cared for my Aspergers daughter I could not be disabled. Well I am still disabled and care for 2 people and work full time it is very hard but I do not claim any benefit as I cannot deal with all this S--t.

Check out ATOS Miracles on Facebook and you will see what is going on everything is lies and that is the most disgusting thing. If people lost their benefits because of the truth then ok but losing it through lies is too overwhelming.

Reading all this stuff about Atos over last months has triggered me in to Anxiety and deep depression.Im close to breaking point.Yes one can walk untill flare ups from hell appear then cant stand never mind walk.Thats just one example of living with FM

I recently had my ATOS assessment. I was surprised especially with all the negative comments about them the lady i saw was very nice. She asked about my illnesses and which i was affected by most, Which i replied RA and Fibro. so she said she would concentrate on them first. She asked all the questions as to how they affected me day to day. What i could not do, walking cooking etc etc. It was not a good day for me with regards to the Fibro i was in a lot of pain and could not sit still in one place for very long. My friend came with me who told them how it affected me etc. Then it came to an end she did not want to ask about the other problems i had, she said she had enough info and did not want me to continue as she could see i was not well that day. She said by her observations, she could see i was not fit for work and i should not have been called for an assessment. The gp that filled in the form that they sent to them did not say i had mobility problems. it was fortunate that another GP that i see regularly gave me a supporting letter which confirmed my mobility problems. She was quite positive and seemed to think i would have no problems, but it was down to the DWP now and that would take 2-3 weeks for a decision. So fingers crossed.

They're well known for lying. I have to say though, that this is a long-standing practise and it began pre-Atos. The old DWP doctors used to do it too but since the age of Facebook and many more sites online things can be exposed much more quickly than previously.
