Lady Moth : Hi there not meaning to pry... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Lady Moth
Hello Royalspec,
You are OK to ask, she left shortly after VG left without a word to anyone. It was all amicable and so we carry on Gins, San & myself until new volunteers are recruited.
I hope Gins & San will agree that the running of the community is done fairly, the volunteers are well informed & I hope they feel as supported as possible considering we have low numbers at the moment. I advocate a team approach to moderating the community and we look forward to new volunteers joining us.
LadyMoth or Moffy was an ex nurse like myself and yes she was very valued here as was VG, who was actually (sorry guys but must be honest) the person who started friday funny posts & virtual trips. Although you know how much FibroAction appreciate how this has been continued by certain members and in your own style, providing 100 % effort on your part. Both VG & Moffy to some extent I think were affected by the change in platform within HU. Some people do not adapt to change as well as others I suppose.
So, if anyone would fancy becoming a volunteer for this FibroAction HU community or you may have any skills you feel you may be able to give volunteering for the FibroAction charity itself ie: fundraising, PR, admin assistant etc. Please feel free to contact us.
The FibroAtion HU community offers a supportive , non judgemental. objective place to voice all your opinions & concerns. We aim to then answer your query with honesty, empathy and with the best up to date advice we possibly can. So, you are informed to make the best decision that is right for you the individual. I do hope you the members feel we are achieving the above and any feedback is always highly appreciated.
Please do contact me at info@ fibroaction.org for more information about volunteering or to provide feedback.
Best Wishes
Emma
Can I be really dim and ask who San is please? X
I am sure San and myself agree that the moderation of the site is always fair and in the interests of its members. A lovely site to be a member of. Full of both fun and facts both imperative to our lives!
Empathy being one of the most import things that we give and time to listen and engage with one an other.
That saying remember we are always about should you need us ..

San is a Volunteer she has a red identity tag. Lovely lady I will get her to say hello
hi crop, I'm usually on later in the day as much as I can. look forward to seeing you around
I wondered why i hadn't seen VG, i just assumed she must be taking a break, never gave it a thought she had left, sorry i didn't really know the other lady.
Thats a shame they have both left, but going quietly i believe is often the best way, otherwise you end up with endless posts try to change their minds, but if they felt it was the right decision for them, i truly understand.
I have been a moderator on a forum belonging to a multinational company for nearly five years now and often wonder if its time to hang up my hat.
I know i would find it hard to follow my own advice as i would feel bad not saying goodbye to the people i have got to know over the years.
For this reason, on here i haven't used my own name, nor got too friendly with anyone on here......, sorry no offence to anyone. I guess i'm just scared of getting too close and then getting hurt. Where i moderate i think others often know more about me than i do myself!! Well it can feel like that. It isn't a health site but you'd be surprised how much can be gained by chatting to people that you have things in common with, not necessarily health related at all, but everyone has been very supportive of me, i have been through various 'crisis', one way or another. It doesn't have to be a health site to gain support, friendship and understanding can go along way.
i have happily supported others on there too, when i have been able, but i also think you can get in too deep and hurt yourself.
So on that stand i support what they have done although i know they will be missed. Xx
Morning Fibro,
How right you are they will be missed for all the right reasons. Now we have to move on and look for more willing people to join our happy band. Sometimes as you are aware it is about being considerate and having empathy for others that is the really important thing.
So we are looking forward to welcoming new volunteers to our well balanced site.

Morning Gins
On this wet and soggy morning, i hope your ok... Or i should say as well as can be expected.
I really do hope some volunteers do come forward.
As much as I love to help others and would love to help out, i don't have the energy to do what i currently am committed to, i'm also waiting to go into hospital for my second Total Hip Replacement. I'm still too young for my first let alone second, so you can imagine i have other things on my mind.
May be its possible that an email could be sent to members asking if someone could help out.
Its possible that someone hasn't been on the site for a while may not know we need help.
As I remind members of the forum I moderate, its the members that make these sites and as the old saying goes, if you don't use it , you lose it!
I certainly hope that never happens here.
I know i'm not always able to get on here every week, but out of any Fibro Sites i have been on this has been the most friendliest xx
