Hi, I've got fibromyalgia for about three years now I don't work ,or claim any benefit but not sure if I can apply for a blue badge .

Good morning,if you are new to this site then a warm welcome.Yes you can claim a blue badge with fibro,although you will probably have to attend a medical now.If you don't work then you should be entitled to some benefits as well.If you go to your local CAB they can advise you whether and what you are entitled to x

Hi , I don't get DLA but I do get ESA, but I know you don't have to be working or on benefits to apply. I applied for a blue badge a few weeks ago, they called me today to ask me a few more questions and said I would get a letter in 2 to 3 days, so I would apply and see what happens, to be honest I don't think I will get it, I had my fibro fog head on today and not sure I gave enough information to the questions she asked, I now cant remember what she asked me ;(

i dont get anything at moment but called the council filled a form out and got a blue badge im not tax exempt so still pay for parking but can now park in disabled bay

Hi I got mine yesterday but I also have osteoarthritis in both knees still waiting for DLA worth trying !!! X

The best way to find out is to apply, which you can actually do on-line. I got mine through the post 3 weeks later without DLA or a medical. I did have a DLA application in process though to which I was given Higher rate for mobility.

However, all of our situations and levels of mobility are different so it will depend solely on your own circumstances

Hi, I applied online and received my blue badge within a week in the post, I don't work or claim any benefits either I was on ESA Contribution based but that finished in June so its worth applying for something. Good luck let us know how it goes sending gently fluffy hugs xx
