been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and thought coudntnt get any worse for me

Hi iv just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia .i already have agrophobia im terrified as

what the doctor said mt wife/carer,im really worried

the doctor told me to stay positive and said that my mental health team had failed me in not diagnosing it and so had he had as well and said sorry

Hi oryan, I know how hard it is when you first receive your diagnosis , and that on top of being agoraphobic must be very hard, I did however get the impression that your doctor is sympathetic to you, and he is right that you must try to keep positive, easy to say I know, not so easy to achieve.

You have come to one of the very best supportive and informative sites, and we will all do what we can to help you through your first steps of fibro.

thought my agrophobia was bad but the pain ive been in over the last year or so and iv told my doctor and nurses etc on and off about the pain my body is in but they comcentratedon the mentalhealth side forgetting that attachedto my brain is a body thats dying on me daily pain and agony is what i have daily and they ex[ect ,e to move around room and to the kitchen wellnowseems ive finally been listened to but not have another problem to cope with on top of the rest

Hi foggy thankyou yes he was when he came he hasnt seen me for over a year as didnt do home visits but now he does luckily as my mental health team didnt care just out down to me not moving around forget the fact im in agony and pain daily.. ironic the doctor i lost faith in a year ago came through for me in the end when a whole medical team didnt ..thanks again only found this site by chance and glad i did im alone at moment as my wifes away resting in pain best i can having a cgarette tocalm my nerves alittle
