Thanks for your reply. I have to be very careful with tablets as I get bad reactions. I was given Tramadol some time ago but never took them, however, because of a really bad fibro flare-up this week , and especially this morning when I couldn`t move because of my back, I decided I might try them. I took one 50mg at 4pm but it didn`t seem to work, hence the question about paracetamal, but now, my back feels a little better, but I am feeling VERY DROWSY and numb, so, I think I will wait now until the Tramadol goes out of my system, and then take something else. Thanks once again for your reply

Thanks Souzie, it`s just that I was given these some time ago and never took them as I am very careful with tablets because I get bad reactions, however , over the last week I have had a fibro flare-up that`s has got worse over the last few days, especially this morning, when I couldn`t move because of my back, so thought I would give the Tramadol a try, however, I took one 50mg at 4pm this afternoon, and didn`t think it was working, so thought I might take some paracetamal but wasn`t quite sure, however, since writing this, my back pain has subsided a little, but I am feeling VERY drowsy, and numb, so I will wait now until it goes out of my system, but at least now I know how it affects me. Thanks once again

Yes certainly, infact when I was taking tramadol, which I don't now, the doctor said paracetamol is often taken in combination with tramadol, so feel fine about it, but do be careful if you do experience any odd side effects, which shouldn't happen but as you said you get bad reactions to some meds, then stop taking the paracetamol and refer back to your doctor, you could even run it by him/her on the phone, just for peace of mind. Good luck :-) :-)

Hi Foggy, what do you take instead of Tramadol. I take them plus paracetamol and gabapentin. I have to be careful what I take because of reactions with other meds (mainly warfarin). Just interested!

Hi Jenni, sorry not to have got back to you earlier ! I take amitriptyline , MST, diazepam, Oramorph, Maxalt, and Cipralex. I didn't get on with either Gabapentin or pregabalin . I have a blood clotting disorder, so like you I have to be careful with some meds. I hope that this helps :-)

If you are worried about possible problems combining tablets the best people to advise you are Pharmacists.

I know, I'm only asking out of interest what other folk are on. I'm happy with my meds combination at present.
