lupus??
hi anbuma,
i really don't know?
The course is quite variable.Although it is not uncommon for individuals with Fibromyalgia to go through periods of remissions and exacerbations, I am not aware of any particular data that outlines the percentage and with what frequency this occurs. This is why I believe that it is important that patients understand that each persons responds on a very individual level to treatment and life situations. There are many factors that contribute to the course of this condition.Patients with fibromyalgia complain of musculoskeletal pain, mood swings, fatigue and sleep disturbances. It may be triggered by stress, surgery, infection or it may just develop overtime with no specific reason at all. Fibromyalgia A Painful Disorder I found out here bit.ly/1pzrYyM read out my reasearch Vitamin D plays vital role in Fibro.
Yes fibromyalgia is fibromyalgia. It doesn't turn into anything else .... It's not precancerous... There is no cure and you are stuck with it for life... Though that's not to say you won't get better days, weeks months even years where the symptoms get much better or seem to disappear only for it to come back.... The problem really is two fold..... A ) finding good meds to keep it under control as best you can for you b) recognising how it affects you so that when something new crops up you know your body and go to the GP and say I have something new .. And finding out if it is fibro related .... Eg ibs , chostochondritis , seem to occur a lot in people with fibro ...or if it is something totally unrelated then you can get it treated or cured ....

Wise words, VG.
Fibro doesn't lead onto anything else, but neither does it protect you from other ailments, so if you get unusual symptoms, don't be fobbed of with 'it's only fibro' without some proper investigations from your doctor!
